The sexual side effects are terrible.. (Been on it for 2 years now), But if I stop taking it for 2 days my libido is back to normal. (relief) Though it has not worked for me at all... I still keep on taking it, guess I´m keeping my silly hopes up.

The FDA and Merck have messed up before. Hairloss sucks but finasteride is not the anwser. It's a disaster for your endocrine system. Transgender people use 5AR inhibitors. If you're thinking about using this, do your research. Read up on steroidogenesis and if you still want to go ahead with it get some base line labs dones. Just don't make a desperate ill informed decision.

A topical with 3 alpha hydroxysteroid reductase, Wnt 7a proteins, IGF 1 and other growth factors would be far better.

Don't use 1/4 proscar. I used it and suffered permanent impotence. Please avoid all finasteride!

@DlZZZZY1975 Sexual side effects are possible, but once you stop taking it the side effects should stop - given that it's a result of the medication and not something else medically wrong. Remember too that it is FDA approved. It's a pretty safe, standard medication. But like serotonin uptake inhibitors, reversible sexual side effects are possible.

I use propecia now for more than 8 years and i am 36, i have no side effects! normal libido, my psi level is also normal! maybe it is mentally problems for some person!
