Okay I have a big problem sometimes my cybergun AKS-74U will stop working and I have to use the unjamming rod to push back the piston and it will fire again, only problem is, last time I fixed it I used the blunt end instead of the curved and the end got stuck in the piston. I see it sticking out but I can't get to it. What should I do? The bbs can't feed into the gun, but if I put a bb down the barrel It will shoot it out no problem.

Hey, kinda stupid question but whenever i shoot my gun (G&G FN F2000) it pretty much goes about 100 feet then curves to the left. Does anybody know why? and how can this be fixed? I know everything about the internals and how to clean them but i am kind of confused about why this is happening. Thanks

@NJAirsoftTeam I'm no expert but the hop up could be slanted a little or the nub may be off centered. Or you could just be tilting the gun to the left, that happens to me sometimes.

i am using BIO bbs (biodegradable) and ive heard that they leave crap in the barrel and that you have to clean it EVERY time. does this cleaning method work with my problem? oh yeah, and what tipe of spray did you put on the cleaning rod?

to make an airsoft cleaning rod you take large marshmellow skews and cut of ends sand it down and then take cloth or whaatever wrap aroung end of skew and then take a little piece of tape at top of skew to hold in cloth so the tape does not touch inner barrel easy to make about 5 bucks to make easy as cake

@janneth1989mac Well, over time the spring wears down, if you are concerned about fps than take it to your local airsoft store and have the spring replaced. If you are concerned about rate of fire (rpm) rounds per minute than get a new battery, the batteries that usually come with guns are crappy.

@NargacugaVQ cigarette filters GENTLY push it down the barrel with the jamming rod or anything else,when you feel more force stop this means you have hit the hop rubber. Then simply shoot the gun do this a couple of times.

It helps if you spray the filter in silicone spray you can get it from most car or tool shops.

ps always do it with the hop turned off.

@Bokem44 Yes, but your bolt needs to be pulled back half-way and you need a longer un-jamming rod. The gun should come with one. After getting the jam, clean the barrel like Tim shows.

over all i good vid the only thing i have to say is DONT CLEAN FROM THE FRONT TO BACK all ways back to front which will mean you will have to take the upper part off the bottom other wise your just pushing dirt back into the gun and while the paper might get some it wont get it all so all ways back to front

@Elliot146 If your paper towel is wet enough and the right size it will collect basically all the dirt/grime, the one thing they did leave out which is probably kind of important, is you should twist the cleaning rod while going in the barrel and then pull out strait.

I just like to add that using silicone oil to clean your barrel A: reduced accuracy in one test, and B: will lube up the hop up, meaning that it won´t grip as good as before, until the lube has worn off.

Take a Q-tip, fuzzle the ends so they are wider, put it into your barrel, and fire away...

Repeat as needed.

It is cumbersome, sure, but if you use something else, you might damage the barrel.

You could use a wire that has plastic coating tho, but still, be careful.

you can also blow into your barrel, but breath moisture might not be that good..

Some AR-15 platforms have a functioning field strip, so you can just push one pin out, fold it open, put it in there and put it back together in a matter of seconds.

My brother tried to unjamm his Ak-47 and it shoved the bb into the gearbox. Then he tried to shoot and it shredded the gears with the bio bb in the gearbox everywere. I don't know how that happened. By the way, are you supposed to do something with the hop-up before cleaning the gun?? Thanks

you actually want to clean the barrel with a cleaner like mr clean... the reason behind this is that silicone can act as a sort of glue to dirt and other obstructions.... just make sure your bucking isnt on the barrel.

@airsoftowns42 Take the cleaning rod and do exactly how it was shown for the barrel then slowly slide it in and out of the bb port of the mag. Also its good to lube the bb feeder.. (where the mag enters..) that will make the bb's feed better.

Try "chamber packing," what he showed in the beginning with the slanted-tip end of the cleaning rod: push BBs out, they should fall out the feeding nozzle. It works with multiple BBs. Make sure you can see the end of the rod by the end to ensure that you got all the BBs out.

I had like 2 or 3 stuck in the barrel. Just chamber pack. Don't fire the gun.

@99range70def First get you unjamming rod, and then look towards the mag release. To the front of the gun there should be a pin/thing you can push out. And then after pushing it out you can pull out the upper receiver. Make sure you don't lose the spring for the charging handle, and then use the unjamming rod and run it all the way through the upper receiver. Then put the spring back and the charging handle after that push the upper receiver back in. Then replace the pin, now try shooting!
