If you sing out of pitch, it makes your voice sound thru the audio system to the exact pitch of the nearest tone in traditional equal temperament. It can raise the pitch very high or lower the tone/pitch very low. Erm.... to quote you.... "Idiot."

Almost all sogs have auto tune, yet you all want to pick on Britney for it, look at Kesha, Lil wayne, T-pain, Keri Hilson, Lady Gaga all of them use it, many more do. It's nothing new, so don't single out 1 person for it acting like she's the only person on earth who does!
