This is one of the Most.,.real movies made.,.,.,.one of the Lats.,.great Movies.,.brothas.,.we need to Make it Real.,.Not the Movie.,.We need to make it real
What adds to the impact of this film is that Mayor Daley of Chicago revoked the location permits when he heard about the filming of the novel. The outdoor scenes were shot in Gary, Indiana, but the scenes that were clearly in Chicago were shot without permits with a hidden camera.
Dahomy had his back because Dan showed her that she had value & that she was better than what she was doing. Notice that she stopped wearing the wig & started wearing her hair in it's natural state. I think that Black youth (14 years & up) should watch this movie with older ones (about 55+), to get a better understanding of this movie. I'm afraid that if young Black boys/men watched this, without proper understanding, they'd just go out & commit random acts of violence. We can't have that.

I agree 100% cus the youth these days are more dumb deaf and blind than ever and look at black nationalism as a joke. smh

youth these days is not any more blind than the youth of yore. but things are different.
gil scott heron meant something real when he said the revolution will not be televised and i think people missed it.
