Thank you, we did choose that name early on in the pregnancy and then three friends had babies, two Elijah and one Elisha!!!, but we have a name now.... see my week 31 vid x
Hi, I agree about the sight thing, I did check it out, but I figured that by the time he goes from my room to his his vision will be stronger.
I personally don't want any more scans because too many can be harmful, and I've had five already, maybe thats why your Dr doesn't allow more, everywhere is different, but I'm sure another one can't hurt if you can get it done. x
Wow... I wish I could have had a bunch of sono... I only had 2 with my doctor, one at the hospital and another one that I paid for (3D my doc didn't have the machine and I wanted it)! They told me I don't get anymore from here on out unless something goes wrong... I'm currently 28 weeks!
Also, newborns I hear can only see as far as 12-13 inches, which is probably why mobiles are so close... you might want to look into it, and move yours a little closer... Cute idea by the way!!!
Why don't you like having scans done? I'm 31 weeks and my doctor only allowed me 2 scans, I suppose I will have another soon, but she didn't mention it to me yet. I love having scans to see my baby...
Congratulations and well done for 31 weeks. I would never tell anyone else not to have scans, it's personal choice. I had loads of scans with my first son and he is fine. I have since done loads of research into scans, what the are and what they do and I personally don't think its good practice to have too many. We have enjoyed all our scans especially when we see him yawn and smile, but I choose not to have anymore. But PLEASE don't let me put you off having your scans. x
we wanted a 3d scan, but because we have had so many (5 in total) and we know we have at least one or two more to go, we decided against it, plus we didn't have a 3d with my older son and I don't want him to feel less special in anyway (this is my husbands 1st child) but I do love watching them cos the babies always look so cute.
I got a pelvic support belt free from my physiotherapist on the nhs, that might be worth trying? Don't know if it's different in different areas but they didn't charge me anything!!
Too right about the birth thing, they always think that they know best. My friend is a student midwife and has so much to say about doctors' inappropriate interventions & how they are almost always for the wrong reasons- saving time, money etc!!
The room is looking fantastic! LOL about getting things at "a shop" you cracked me up. I used that Sudocream for both my little ones as well and its great!
He's conditioned to the water and thinks it's going to be hot! That's so cute! You're so strong - I like your attitude about the birth and everything! I know what you mean about energy and getting things done - I've got about 15 weeks left and am WAY behind where I wanted to be at this point with the room and everything! What you've got done is wonderful though! The mobile is awesome (love your comment - a SHOP! lol). It's great to see you!! *hugs* Take good care!!
I remember you telling me that you was gonna make your own mobile! i love it! i think next time im going to do that! lol, i love winnie the pooh stuff as well! have you tried Sainsburys and/or Asda they have some really cute winnie stuff in their! as for bible names I like Jeremiah, Mica, Luke, and Isaiah! lol I got my bf mother to order me the wardrobe because i couldn't get if over here for some reason!
True, i got the sleeping bag from Sainsburys for half price and saw some the next day in Asda too. I love Asda tho. I like the name Mica (reminds me of the kid from heros) but hubby doesn't... thats my problem... he doesn't like any name, not even his own! LOL
omg the support belt it amazing! i only paid $20 here i dont think they should be too much there?YAY home birth! how exciting...um i cant help with a middle name if i dont know the first haha!!!! aw love the mobile your so crafty & what a neat idea
