Cannot stop listening to this song. This is one of the greatest traditional metal tracks I have ever heard. I'm glad I got my local record dealer looking for the Dungeon tapes release. Problem is, when I finally get the cd I will prolly put this song on infinite repeat and then forget about the rest of the album! This song will seriously compete with "Lions of the Sea" by Running Wild as my favorite song of all time.

You are right, Epic Metal was/is a genre that came from the early 80's and was often personified by crushing mid-tempo riffs, heavy thundering drums and deeply emotional melodic (almost Bluesy - non shredding) guitar solos. Themes, tones, and even the lifestyle of Epic Metal revolved around the ancient form of poetry called the Epic. Bands in this genre include Medieval Steel, Manowar, Manila Road, Virgin Steele ect... Masculine and loud with roots in Sabbath. Awesome!

Nobody knows this outside of Memphis but they made a raw-ass cool B&W video of this song where they all put grey ducktape all over their jeans and kicked around some funkier delapidated sites around Memphis (downtown). They showed it locally for a few years and I'd freak if I ever saw it here on YouTube or anywhere for that matter (extremely rare shit). Also I have personally know John Roth and Bobby Franklin since those very days, both are still friends of mine to this day!

Actually, if I remember right, they don't have a "proper" album release. there is just the "Dungeon Tapes" which is a 2005? compilation release of their EP, then demo, both 84'-85'?? I think there are even some new songs on that 05' comp. But you're right.. just 1 release to buy.  But right now I have bigger probs.,like the rapidly disappearing underground Black Metal releases that I am trying to snap up.

@DrakhIM You´re almost right. The demo was recorded in ´86, but never released by the band. It was bootlegged in´89. The only song of that demo appearing on the compilation is "To kill a king"; the other demo songs are new recordings from 2004, and "Just too late" is missing completely, so die-hard collector should search for the bootleg of Reborn Classics (with Culprit LP). The band is active again.
