@722tea HawkBros could not agree with you more. Thank you to Supabuaschi1 for this posting of the 10 minute version. Like the Bros say It's a Neil Young kind ahThahang, ah yeah. Oh this is too too good.
Neil was a major part of my formative years. Since Buffalo Springfield ... He has shown me Rock 'n' Roll.. He STILL knocks me out! Wish I could do it again.
I first played this song in 1970, and now 41 years later, I still play it over and over, It is one of the most perfect songs of rock. I never get tired if hearing it. It is the great finale of his concerts. Neil is by far the best music of the entire rock era and more.
If has calmed and energized me through so many ups and downs of my life.
Know this Neil, you have done so much good for so many!!!!!
For me, Neil can do no wrong..LOL..I've always been madly in love with him. His versions are not "better or worse," just different. His music has always touched my soul.
@trebleboostboy Nice retort by you but this still isn't his best version. Check out: "Neil Young - Cowgirl In The Sand11/15/73" by searching in Youtube - almost two different songs.
This is the best version of CITS that I have ever heard. Neil is on fire and the band are rocking too. He's a genius. I love the acoustic versions but this version is in a different league, and I mean higher
I love this version except the ginormous neil young solo's they are good solos but hes not technical enough warent 7mins of solo time. Not many people need 7 mins of solo.
Neil is the king don't anyone question his ability just because he is older he would dominate no matter what song he played and at any time in his life. He is an old tank
Any artist who is versatile enough to adapt his music to any venue and any age deserves respect. I have more versions of this tune on LP, Cassette, and CD than I can name here right now. This man, among others, helped to define the evolution of music in this country, dating all the way back to just before Woodstock!
Im Canadian, into death and black metal, but I've always liked Neil Young, his style is unremarkable...definitely brings the folk/ rock artist out of me and I would never refuse to jam one of his songs...live on neil
Love Neil Young! Since I first heard the Time Fades Away album in 1975, I've been hooked on Neil Young. Saw him twice in concert. My favorite artist!!!
He's got paint on his jacket and blood on his sleeve - classic Neil !

telling Neil how to play his own song, is like me telling you how to raise your child.

Well before Woodstock I may add, Neil left TO in 64 only to meet up with David Crosby and Steven Stills.Rest is history.
