CB radio is much more useful when traveling on highway, such as getting traffic info. we need to convert some of the unused HAM band like 50 MHz, 222 MHz, 430 MHz into CB band, anyone can use.

Personally, I agree that amateur radio is overrated versus CB radio. However, you use too much wind in order to express it and making your video tooooooo long-winded and plain bad. In my opinion, Paltalk Messenger is the number one alternative to CB and Amateur Radio worldwide. Paltalk provides voice chat rooms with thousands of people to talk to 24/7. While CB radio has agitators looking to start fights and Jamming up the radio. Amateur radio is dying due to the high cost of equipment.

Actually Ham radio is much better than CB radio. Hands down. More frequencies, and you can operate legally using amplifiers and you have world wide coverage. CB you are legally required to stick to jsut the 11 Meter band and I think it's what? 5 Watts? So if you really want to talk around the world, go get your Ham Radio license....and don't listen to this guy....no skill in being a ham radio operator? Nah...he just doesn't know how to use it.

dumbass.....im a ham myself, and enjoy cb radio also. Do you even know what you are saying? CB is at the mercy of the sunspot cycle. HF radio is also, but FM voice isnt. Maybe crack a book open and read how it all works, if you can read that is. I like CB for roadtrips, that's it. You never hear of CB operators doing emergency communications during a disaster, but we hams do all the time when we are called upon. When all else fails, amateur radio works....

I highly doubt it. CB radio has always had limited range. Does 10 miles sound reasonable to you? I did the CB thing in the 70s. As an Extra Class I believe CB radio has its place, but per FCC rules your transmitting range and power are limited. Move up to amateur radio. Take the tests like I did. Good luck to you.

They are just socializing themselves because they are too lazy to actually learn something. The opportunity is there, but it looks like too much work for them. well let me start off with 2 thumbs up for Mike.

The Multiband HF Rigs are what I call a compromise on all band rig. The receiver section has to cover so much bandwidth ( 1.8 to 30 MHZ ) that there is really no optimum band.( cept 20m ) There are selectivity and sensitivity issues that a single band Radio does not have. ie A CB is meant for 27 mhz (imports are 26 to about 28mhz) receiver selectivity and sensitivity are at a optimum. If you want a rig to perform on CB, STICK TO A CB

CB is where it really is and the hammy hams hate the fact that we have more fun, spend less money, don't have to ID every 10 min and have more freedom. That is just the start.
