ok here are some tips if you are a goalkeeper: everytime it is a one on one then go out when he is close the penalty spot as if u are 13 years+ then the goal will be a 11-man goal wich makes it hard for you to save all the shots but if you go out when he is close to you it will be much harder for him and much easier for you. and if you see that your opponent got the ball and you know wich foot he is shooting with then it will be easier for you to save the shots

What you said makes absolutely no sense. Playing in goal without gloves increases your risk of damaging your fingers (breaking them, jamming them, spraining them...). To play goalie without gloves is just stupid, and has NOTHING to do with alertness, no offense.

Well, at first: Don't watch videos like this one. I used to be a goalkeeper and it's not really helpful.
Instead watch pros how they treat the ball and how they handle various situations. I'll recommend the English Premier League, Spanish Primera Division or European Champions League. That's beautiful soccer.
Why don't you give it a try? The only way to get in touch with the game is to play it. Don't worry about anyone else. You'll make progress pretty quick if you invest a little sweat.

There are lots of others, but as a goalkeeping instructor and training these ones are very comprehensive and have lots of drills so you can train yourself. I didn't start playing till I was 15 years old in the 11th grade. that first season was really bad, but my senior year, we won our division championship and I then went on to play at a division 1 college. I even got a chance to play in England and Holland. It's not too late for you to start. And don't worry about what anyone else has to say about it. You play for you, not for them

Absolutely ridiculous, im a county goalkeeper and this is the most useless video i have ever seen on technique. Hands out to the side would only ever be used when in a one on one situation where the play has slowed down, plus when "punting" the ball he uses the wrong hand meaning an inhibition of movement and creates a tendency to kick the ball off to the left in this case.
The only time you should have your hands out before a pk is if you know that the ball is going straight to you, not the corners. And seeing how in every pk you expect the shot to be at a corner, you should have your hands in a balanced position so you can jump for the ball. You'd have trouble making the save with your hands extended as he has shown.

if you are trying to make your goal bigger you come of your line if u stay on your line and just put your hands out it isnt doing anything.. you do that for pk's when you cant come of your line.... coming of your line makes the goal a lot bigger and it helps u cover a lot more space as well

The only time you should have your hands out before a pk is if you know that the ball is going straight to you, not the corners. And seeing how in every pk you expect the shot to be at a corner, you should have your hands in a balanced position so you can jump for the ball. You'd have trouble making the save with your hands extended as he has shown.

This guy is a disgrace to goalkeepers around the world. Not only does he not know anything about goalkeeping and everything he says is completely wrong but he can't even punt the ball correctly. Personally, I would be ashamed. He should seriously consider never showing his ugly face in public again.

if you are trying to make your goal bigger you come of your line if u stay on your line and just put your hands out it isnt doing anything.. you do that for pk's when you cant come of your line.... coming of your line makes the goal a lot bigger and it helps u cover a lot more space as well

Goalies wear a mask, a glove and blocker. Goalies play ice hockey. In football (soccer) they are called goalkeepers, or keepers in short. lol
