  • Love Love this cueing is awesome and love the routine. Thanks

  • Man, I hope that I can get this by watching it on my computer. I know I can do it. I have to figure out how to download it on my hard drive. I will practice!! You are AWESOME!!!!

  • Dana it's so nice to actually hear you cue vs. words at the bottom of the screen, good job, Carolyn

  • hi dana! I´ve just uploaded my version for the breakdown. the end product is chassee, tango, over, basic, so it changes lead.

I haven´t tried it in class yet, but I will!

  • Lovely stuff. I've been looking for something a bit more interesting than a double knee (that isn't my usual scissor type thing). Shall have a play with a reverse elvis, thanks!

  • Look through my videos for the ones called "6-count lead changers" and "More 6-count lead changers" or something like that. There are over 50 variations on a Double Knee for you to choose from!!! Have fun!

  • Ah, good stuff, I'll have a check. I use LLs repeaters video quite a bit too when lacking inspiration. I find I tend to use the same sort of things and get stuck in a rut...

  • SJ, I was just working on a combo with the chasse turn into tango and was stumped by the breakdown! THANK YOU for posting this! I think your way is great. Very workable.

  • How often do you change your combinations and how long does it take you to break down each one?

  • I use my combos for about a month. Not only do I simply not have time to constantly create new combos, I really think my participants get more out of the combos on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weeks when they know what to expect. They can get a much better workout than the week(s) when they are concentrating on getting the moves. For my intermediate class, the breakdown typically takes about an hour, but it takes longer for my advanced classes.

  • great combo by the way, just written it down for next week

  • Thanks Barbara -- hey, let me know if you find a simpler breakdown for the second half of this one (starting with the chasse turn into tango). I'm interested to know if there's a better way!!

  • I´ve got something in mind, I`ll probably post it next monday

  • I think the second half is fine the way it is.

  • hi, i've come up with a breakdown too. I'll post on my blog. Nice to see everyone working on variation. great to learn from.

I've altered the drag over jacks in 'twice on the same foot 'so you have an around the world. I'm used to go from corner to corner othrwise my feet get confused after a jumping jack.

  • I played this same song just last week, it was so hot, and ppl were not motivated - it helped them through the class.
