Why Spencer? An election looming perhaps? Too bad the rally was turned into an election platform by the NDP; diversity also includes a diversity of political opinion.

I can see why you'd think that. However I don't believe that this rally was necessarily exclusionary of any Liberal, or other BC political representative. As a member of the LGBT community, other political absence, in addition to Wally Oppal's backwards way of working on this issue (and select others I might add) it sure makes me think long and hard about who I'll be voting for on the 12th.
