@jackbrady86 you do realize that all of the music you listen to are all based on scales right? except usually stripped down to pentatonic and non-modal. His style is modal scales and arpeggios, fast. Compared to most popular music, THAT IS thinking outside the box.

@prsguy14 you probably forgot the question by now, but it's because the like 20 Marshal amps he has are only for show. Either they are all on like 1 (which is barely on) or only about 2 of them are turned up. Mostly, the sound is run though a PA (public announcement) system. These are on the sides top, and bottom of the stage (yngwie puts his foot on one speaker in the vid) that direct all of the sound towards the audience, not the performers.

@sciacallo010 I would say both rhythm and solo guitarist actually, he plays alot of solos in Megadeth. But solo-wise Malmsteen is better, Mustaine is better at making riffs. Mustaine is a big name i thrash yeah. But Malmsteen influenced about every guitarist that played Hard rock or Metal in the 80's. Malmsteen and Mustaine are closer genre-wise than Harrison and Hetfield ^^ But yeah, that comment was 2 years ago, and I love both Malmsteen and Mustaine =)
