Graf's record will always be tainted by the fact that she would not have won so many slams if it weren't for the fact that the then-dominating, number one ranked player Seles was stabbed. The seles-graf matchups and Seles' record in those years speaks for itself. Graf has benefited enormously off Seles' tragedy.
