Not seeing much to hate. Sure, that "romantic ending" was more Maria praying at graves than anything truly romantic, but what do you expect from the girl? She lives in the past, and this ending gives the impression that she's trying to let it go..
@MisaeSagara True, Ogami is an optimistic dreamer that thinks justice is all you need, and Maria is a war weary veteran who knows strength and luck are all that keep you alive in the battle field. Not much to keep them together as a romantic couple, but as this shows, they can be partners just the same. There's just little chance they'll even consider going to bed together..
@BlueDemonofFire I think, Ohgami and Maria could make really interesting couple. Where man is more gently, than woman. If you played in any Sakura Wars game, you can see that Maria is really feminine. For example, at one time Ohgami caught her when she tried on dress. When she noted it, she blushed. If you like this couple, search and read some doujins about them. ;) IMO OhgamixOrihime is the best. OhgamixSakura is good too.
@MisaeSagara Somehow, I find Kanna or Kohran more interesting choices. Sumire's good too, but Sakura seems too traditional. Not enough fire outside the battle field, and gives a stalker vibe if you aren't aiming for her as your romantic interest.
I only know the first game's cast. The only reason I know anything at all is because I read through Spirit Armor's LP in the Something Awful forums. Amusing on so many levels..

If this looks like a stupid question, I'm sorry. Hard to visualize characters I haven't seen. Doesn't help that Sakura Wars is cursed to stay on the other side of the ocean..goddamn you Japan.
@BlueDemonofFire She's similar to Sumire in the sense of she's diva like Sumire. But her character is completely different. She's energetic, wordy and optimistic.
Is that Yuris grave (Her love) or Bryusovs or Sumas? (Her parents) It says 1825-1912 but that can't be the right dates for any of them. They'd have to have been in their eighties when they died!
