No Surprises - Radiohead cover

A good cover, helps me decide whether an LPs lighter sound is good. But you're playing it ever so slightly wrong, everyone does it almost its only cos I'm a Radiohead nerd who notices the minute details.

But dude well done. I still think the tele is the beauty you need. I have a Legend Tele copy, very nice it is.

Cheers thanks for the comment. I'm sure I've got plenty of it wrong ;o) - just looked at the chords and then did it from memory, rather trying to recreate it. There are loads of better covers of it on here but I enjoyed doing it ... seems a long time ago now.

Cheers Gil - very kind. This is a special song for me. I missed Radiohead first time round, but spent the first six months of last year listening to Ok Computer solidly. I always feel on the verge of tears when I listen to it.

Many thanks Bentonio. It's a bit jagged in places - needs more rehearsal, and I can hear some bum bass notes in the chorus. But I think it does capture the emotion of the song.

Cheers for the lovely comment. I used my electric for this, strumming very lightly on the treble setting. It's more than 30 yrs old but sounds better now! So I turned that low, pushed the voice mix up, but sang v softly close to the mike.

No Les Paul copy - Aria - not a great guitar but can sound nice.

no? too bad, i have 3 aria les pauls. 1 is a 1976 bolt on black beauty with gibson pafs, 1 is a 1978 set neck cherry burst standard totally stock and almost mint condition, and the last is a 1980 black/white standard with dimarzio pafs. i would put the last two up against any gibson lp i have ever played. is yours a set neck?
