We also love the Sahabah (companions of the final Messenger, Muhammad). They too are examples for us to follow as they were the closest to our Prophet Muhammad, in adherence to Islaam.
But we do not worship them, as all worship is to Allaah alone.
Dua / supplication / invoking is an act of worship, therefore we only invoke Allaah.
Allaah alone is able to answer our duas/ invoking.
