During the Great Depression over 9000 US banks failed. This year along 71 US banks have failed along with the "sub-prime morgage"debacle.

Here in Canada where banks are more regulated...ONE bank failed (Home Bank) in 1923.EVER.

Without protections unions would be abolished within a half a second. Take a look at what happened in the industrial revolutions when industries first began exploiting workers, when workers tried to unionize companies simply hired goons to shoot the troublemakers. Literally hundreds of union members were being killed until finally the government said that unions should be given minimal protections...and now Ron Paul wants to take that away.
