Wow, I hardly ever see BNSF locomotives with graffiti around here in minnesota. In fact the locomotive and the freight cars are almost always clean.

Hey Al. I'm doing the same thing you did with the athearn gp38-2 with and athearn rtr gp40-2 i hardwired the Tsunami decoder in and everything works fine i used a TSU-1000 and i did everything and i can't get the shell back on what decoder did you use? and how did you get it to fit haha.?

@CSX1123 I used the Tsunami board not the hard wired. I ALSO removed the old RTR motor and installed a genesis motor. I set it lower than the original motor, i also had to cut some of the frame to make the motor Flywheels fit. i did quite a bit of work in the inside. I just can't describe it.

@CSX1123 Yeah man you gotta remotor the engine to get the best runner. I DO NOT EVER use Athearn RTR engines in my models. Genesis or Katos are the motor of choice. Now I have a perfect runner

Al, what's your opinion on having just one or 2 locos with sound if the rest of the fleet is silent? Is it distracting? Do you tend to run only the ones with sound? I'm thinking of leaving the diesel fleet silent and getting one steam loco with sound, just to experience it.

Truly awesome work! You bring a lot to the model railroad hobby and you breath much needed life into the hobby as well. I can't think of any reason to dislike this video. I don't understand the haters. Your video skills coupled with the modeling skills which you feature are on par. Since you are a full time fire fighter raising a family and serving your local community is truly commendable. I believe the haters are most likely jealous of what you do and of your actual success in life.

@swixie123456 I spend time and effort to get it looking good. Guess who else can do it JUST LIKE ME? YOU!!! yes you can! You can sit down one day and spend a few hours on one project and BOOM! You got the same engine or a similar one. I am 100% sure ANYONE with time and patience can do it like I do or BETTER!!!

@cvgeeps Also the Tsunami Sound decoder was $79.97 at litchfield Station and to install it was a bitch because I had to remove the old RTR motor, cut out the frame to fit the new Genesis. Then I had to wire in leads to both sides of the trucks, THEN I had to drill out the front and rear lights to fit in the new bulbs. It was quite some work man. Not for a newbie or a first time installer for one like this.

AWESOME!!! Cool gas station. Like the linolium idea. If I can ever get to work on my layout, I'll probably end up using that trick. Awesome job with that GP38. If you photoshopped it into that picture you had of it, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the real thing and the model.

Al, where did you get your soda machine on the side of the building next to the Ice machine?

@UP5491 The soda machine is actually a part of the kit. It comes as four flat pieces of white styrene I glued together, painted the white black using a Sharpie then applied the Soda decal on the front. Done. BUT there is a company that makes these machines on Ebay or somewhere. In fact I bought many of them this year for about $7 for 4 in the pack.

@ZookeeperArthur I usually do NOT add interioe details but I will add lights inside of this one and I will most likely add the details once it is installed and I will lift the roof up to put them in piece by piece as well as adding HO scale figures inside shopping and getting gas of course.
