Take a listen at my post of Raymond Scott's "Toonerville Trolley" from 1946 & tell me with a straight face that "composer" Marty Manning wasn't doing some serious copping. LOL! :
@SwingMan1937 - Major Copping. Surprised Louis Nizer didn't get involved with a plagerism suit. Another example of this is how Nelson Riddle lifted from Harry James' "The Mole" for his "Route 66" TV series theme in the cusp of the 1950's-60's.
I have many GM recordings - not on 78's though - but I don't have this one,so I have added it to my "favourites" list. I am familiar with the number, and have listened to it many times in the past, but now I can recall it on demand - courtesy of your good - self.
