I'm a big fan from DT and Mr. James Labrie, for me he's the best of whole Rock history but, on this show high notes are a trouble for him,but i saw them nowadays (03/20/10) Rio de Janeiro and James was FUCKING AWESOME singing old songs like TAKE THE TIME, THE MIRROR and LIE perfectly, his old grolw is back,the best part was on Take the Time[ I THINK IT'S FOR A CHAAAAAAAAANGEEEEE!

Well said constantinosbassman. Even Pat Benatar has changed the way she sings due to overuse many many years and she is older now too. A voice matures and gets deeper and the deeper ranges are actually stronger than in the early years of singing which were more thin sounding. The professional musician does so many shows in their career it's amazing they can still sing at all. Rock on!

OVerall a great performance :) LaBrie sounds nice here but some higher parts were adapted for his current voice condition... Damn food poisoning, if only he could sound live like he did back in the early nineties especialy on the Manhattan show(not so technicaly profined by him but great energy)... The home sweet home bootleg is also evidence about his voice deteriroration because on that recording he easily sings throu the high passages...

@lVeljkol I blame the band's constant wish to become metal, making labrie sound heavier album after album. back in the early 90's, when he didn't have to do drives and stuff, his voice was crystal-like, so smooth, soft and brilliant. seems like he didn't have the technique to sing heavier songs and it blew out his throat =(

To ALL People who have never sang PROFFETIONALY... The voice is a mussle. If abuses,( strained, torn, scratched by food or any form of OVER DOING IT like extensive touring will have a HUGE affect on short and long time performance. We dont have the LUXARY of swaping one out for a new set like a new set of guitar strings when they go bad. People wonder why vocalist sound bad sometimes. Ponder no longer

I am a guitarist and I am more interested in the music rather than the vocals so it doesn't bother me. They never play this song at the exact tempo on the album--or at least from what I have heard. (Obviously I haven't heard every live performance of this.)

James should be able to sing this song better now. This was years ago. How can you tell? By john's hair. He's grown it out a bit since this was taped so it's been a while and James improved tremendously comparing the "Score" DVD to the "Budokan" one.

I didnt know Jordan could play the saxophone. LOL. I am the first one to stick up for James and his voice but he obviously didnt know he was being taped and perhaps was saving his voice for a future show. I think the worst thing is a taped DVD concert and James crackling a high note out for everyone to see. What a shame that would be. This was the tour with Queensryche, i missed it but what a great show that would have been.
