Hey I'm doing the Telluride to Moab hut to hut ride in sept. with the guitars for vets program. I haven't really trained for this event, and have a fear of heights. I was wondering if you could shed some light on what to expect.
I've sent you an email, but in short, the trip will push you but the rewards are well worth it. My best advice would be to start out early every morning, regardless of the distance. That way, if you're not as physically prepared as you'd like to be, you still have plenty of time to reach the next hut. Also, it gives you a little wiggle room when the weather turns against you. It's the most physically demanding trip I've ever done, but also the most memorable!
