Regarding your statement: "JC isn't an innocent lamb", you need to actually read your Scriptures! The reference is to the lamb sacrificed at Passover to deliver the first-born from the Angel of Death. Jesus was directly given this name by John the Baptist: "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" in John 1:29.
It is sad how we all presume JC was an innocent lamb. This is untrue. If you carefully read your old testament, you will notice that JC was a goat!! The lamb was never used or meant for the atonement of sins!! It makes for good imagery but it is wrong belief!!
