  • I do not understand how the lyrics being printed are considered spam. Would someone please explain. And, yet if people print an awful or negative comment about a song it is not considered spam. Go figure.

  • great song..

  • You guys know that this song is also about Linda Ronstadt, don't you? They sound great together on this song.

  • That is one SICK bass line...

  • I echo the sentiment! It no wonder that quality of Paul's poetry has been compared with none other than TS Eliot! Thankyou Paul Simon for blessing us with such great poetry and music!!

  • I would like to recommend the book 'A Concise Guide To Eighties Music' by Karl Vorderman. The author is a big fan of this track.

  • @selatik1 - I wouldn't want to lose a single note of this...not a note. :)

  • You let the entire song play to the very end, even until the ride cymbal faded. Impressive. Most impressive.

  • @selatik1 that's the only way it was possible to listen to I thought.

  • Joseph's face was black as night/

And the pale yellow moon shone in his eyes/

    His path was marked/

By the stars in the southern hemisphere/

And he walked the length of his days/

    Under African skies/

  • Joseph's face was black as night/ The pale yellow moon shone in his eyes/ His path was marked/ By the stars in the southern hemisphere/ And he walked his days/ Under African skies/ This is the story of how we begin to remember/ This is the powerful pulsing of love in the vein/ After the dream of falling and calling your name out/ These are the roots of rhythm/ And the roots of rhythm remain

  • How can this gorgeous song only have so little views???

  • @ezaube1030 I pity the fool ;)

  • These lyrics are representative of the greatest songwriter ever to live.

  • @enricofusione that's just like...your opinion man. I'll take Duke Ellington for songwriter, and maybe Bob Marley for lyrics. I do love Paul Simon though, he does kick serious ass!
