@ThisNamesNowTaken Thats a common misconception, no it is not required. The auto ecu actually has its advantages.. leaner fuel map, no 4th and 5th speed limits etc. No i havent been to any meets in over 3 months. Once my new build is done i will check it out. :)

@skaterarod Price will be slightly higher since you would need an s14 tranny (it has one sensor on it that you need-crank angle sensor) and but install should be the same.

@aznnubbyboy its a switch on the clutch pedal, if you dont have it wired in you dont have to release the clutch to start the car as long as it is NOT in gear.

@TheMantezHD An auto ECU with throw codes and cause issues with cold starts. Cruise control typically will not work with an auto/manual swap unless someone else found a way..

bout to do my first swap its not hard just time consuming. Most work you will do is the pedal mounting running a line and taking out the auto shifter. everything else is cake if you have played with manuals b4.

dont be nervous, there are write ups on how to do the swap its not as hard as it seems u just need to be somewhat mechanically inclined. also gather up EVERYTHING you need before hand if you want i can give you a list of everything u need for the swap. trust me 5 speed is alot better than the 4 speed auto.
