Wow, I had completely forgotten that Bob hosted some of the nighttime episodes, I only remembered Tom Kennedy at night. Thanks for the upload! Is there any more of this episode available?
I miss the old Money Game board. I like it much better than the newer one. I also miss primetime game shows like "Price" being on. "Feud" is so/so anymore, and Jeopardy & Wheel have been on primetime for almost 3 decades. I wonder why Price doesn't consider doing a primetime version again? I'm guessing they stopped this version since the 60 minute edition was more exciting? Or Barker perhaps didn't want to pull "double duty" anymore?
I prefer Money Game being played center stage. Provides more suspense IMO. Remember, Price attempted primetime again in 1985-86 and 1994-95. The 1985-86 version was cancelled due to low ratings because most stations stuck it in the late night slots, and the 1994-95 version was cancelled because of how much of a depature it was from the daytime show, and OJ Simpson coverage didn't help either. TPIR would work so well with a nighttime version today, too...
Woah woah woah! I think you have your facts mixed up. Dennis hosted from 1972-1977, then Bob took over until the finale in 1980. Tom Kennedy hosted a DIFFERENT version from 1985 to 1986!
Very agreed. But I wouldn't expect to see any 1977-1980 episodes without fur that have Holly in them if they are ever reran, thanks to a ban aganist episodes with Holly by Bob AFTER GSN stopped rerunning the series.
@GSNSmashFan3
I think he means the rest of THIS episode. Perhaps I can arrange that in about a week.

Nope. There's no other Barker episodes available.

That's a nice looking Pontiac. I would definitely drive that car if it was 1980. Today, I would hook it up, and make it a sports car.

Yeah,would be great. Would accompany my collections of game shows on my rack beautifully. Cullen Pyramid would be something I'd save for.

Me,too. If they could do all the DJ eps, I'd save up for that particular set. All syndicated game shows should be that way. You with me on this?

@269848
Of course! I'd love to see a Cullen $25,000 Pyramid box set too. :)
I wouldn't count on having EVERY Dennis episode, considering only 1/4 of his tenure is airable because of Bob's fur ban. *groan*
But I think 50 episodes is enough to make a GREAT DVD set filled with rare episodes!

You know, it wouldn't be so bad if they put the rest of those eps on DVD like they did some time ago.

@269848
Agreed. I'd love to see a Dennis DVD set (since they probably wouldn't put Barker on due to a certain model...)
It'd be amazing if they did that! (The Best of the Nighttime Price is Right)

@GSNSmashFan3 Too bad Bob doesn't want certain shows aired. I can understand about the furs as prizes, but show the ones that have non-fur prizes.

I'm pretty sure channel 7 in Seattle, WA aired this, and so did channel 11 in the Durham/Raleigh/Fayetteville, NC area.
