I ran into a republican prosecutor once who was campaigning for re-election. Even Jesus spelled it out: if someone's wrong and won't listen when you tell them that, you treat them "like a publican and a heathen" (Matt. 18:15-17) - but how did JESUS treat those people? He met with them, He ate dinner with them, He reached out to them - He LOVED them, He did not HATE them. But He also said, "Go and sin no more!" Love the sinner, hate the sin.

I ran into a republican prosecutor once who was campaigning for re-election. I told him that he could never have my vote because his department falsely prosecuted a man for his daughter's murder, and when they found out he didn't do it, his office refused to apologize. Especially after they started the media circus. I said he should be in jail himself.
