@189smiley you might have gotten your answer already....but you must be looking for "freakshow on the dancefloor" by the bar-kays..let me know if you already have it. thanks.
Thats what I'm talking about...Hard to find some of the tunes from back home,Especially out here in morman country..(utah)U need to get at me so we can exchange some music...Good look'en.
Has anyone evr heard of this group called Icemosis from the 70's? I have never heard of them but they have a video on here and damn it's funky! If you know anything about them, let me know
wuz up 805cowboy13. im 32 years old and i havent heard this song since i was 6 or 7. i'd always have it in my head for those years and never knew who sang it, or if i'd ever hear it again. you really came thru for ya boy from the 916!
I like all of the old school tracks that you have on here, by all means post more. I am looking for an R&B track that came out in the early to mid 80's that is possibly titled " girl you dropped a spell on me" If you know who this is, please let me know.
I began listening to this kind of Funk in the early 80s but not too many stations played this kind of music. It was all underground but man what talented musicians! Real instruments and good voices. Compared to the stuff I hear today...this was quality. It was about having fun and producing good music!
that is bro, funk is the music. oldschool never dies. i feel the sam when i hear this music, cant get enoug of this. somethimes playing a track like this on me walkman 10 hours on repeat and still cant get enough of this. i'll do my best to post some of it on youtube. cheers, keep up the funk
My bad... I had meant the band 'Brass Construction' with "Walkin' the Line". They had a excellent funky song called "Sing a Simple Song" inwhich i will try and post something for it soon. :)
You are so right. A great tune with so little radio play. So, i had post a bit of that song in "Set #8 - Three Forgotten Oldschool Funk Songs (1981-83)". The video just loops and is rather annoying, but anyhow, it's all about the music.
get the FUNK OUTTTA here.

This is off the really popular Brass Construction album (1981 or 1982) that contained the big hit, Can You See the Light.
egmjag 2 years ago
It really is hypnotizing. It's is totally on it's own! When the brass kicks in you know they really tried to create something.

Hey I'm looking for an old jamm, but don't know the name; it said:
n-a-u-g-h-t-y she's a naughty girl
(the guy singing actually spelled out naughty) it is an upbeat song.
Unfortunately that's all i know. Hopefully it'll trigger someones memory and can help by pointing me in the right direction?
Thank You

It may be Naughty by Nature - We can do it
if its not the one, check out the rest of the songs they did.

I think you would like Central Line's "You've Said Enough" hardly any radio play at all.

I did like that...I did hear it on radio in late 82 or early 83 but briefly.
