i was working in compund interest i had a losts of multiplication there it just takes me half an hours to multiply....ufff. and here's the solution to my problem. Thanks Buddy.
You're still working right to left which is only a bit better than the original method. To do these in your head quickly, work from left to right. Let's do that with the example. 3 x 1 = 3, then multiply by 100 (add two zeroes, very easy) = 300. 3 * 4 + 1*2 = 14, then multiply by 10 (add one zero). Add the two together 300 + 140 = 440. Then do the ones digit, and add it on 2*4 = 8 + 440 = 448. Working this way is much easier and natural. No "carry over" needed.
