  • some good music with lyrics that provoke...like it a lot!

  • Niger is another country. But I think the person who originally used this wanted to say "9ja" as popularly used by Nigerians and many others too.It sounds like "Niger" but its mostly written as '9ja".Its very very widely used. You would hear Nigerians say..."I di go 9ja". or "Nija".Its not in connection with Niger that happens to be another country.

  • dont you kids have nothing better to do than arguing what the N word is ???

young people like you should be glad not livin in slums and walkin 30 miles for water fountain everyday ... there are people gettin 1 dollar a month and you spend 50 a day or more

  • j'aime!!!

  • The name "Nigeria" was coined from "Niger", the river that flows through the Country, and "area", meaning an area near river Niger, therefore: "Niger-area", hence "Nigeria"....

  • This song is so cool

  • i listen to this when im sad .. im makes my day ^^

  • niger and nigeria are both country dumbasses and the niger is also a big river acrossing the Niger ( country)

  • @edwin0891 God bless,u...d world still cant do without naija:)lol

  • Thank You Asa !!!

    Peace

  • @666StoneSour666 The Niger IS a river too actually.

  • stop argueing... Niger is a country, so is Nigeria, they are not the same country however, and The Niger is not a river.....i'm pretty sure you're thinking about The Nile....

  • @666StoneSour666 There is a Niger river. The Nile is not the only river in Africa. The Nile flows in Eastern Africa, both countries Niger and Nigeria are in West Africa. Two completely different rivers. Look it up...

  • Nigeria = naija, 9ja and not niger because Niger is a neighbouring country to Nigeria

  • NAIJA !!!!!!!

  • asa

  • I love it! But Wax Tailor remix is even better!

  • I'm a jailer of my life

  • je kiffounouche cette musique qui est genialmenent greeaaaaaaaaaaat ! :)

  • je les vue a la premiere partie du concert de joe ccocker a nantes mon idole et je les adoré

  • Love it!:)

  • they say: "we write songs about wrong cause its hard to see right"

    a very beuatiful song indeed

its just a pity; blacks always believe there come a day when all will be good and all rase will live at ease with no suppression and the jailer will come back to his senses

I personally hardly gonna believe that but instead think its time we start to fight back and if necessary we have all of them jailers jailed so there will be peace for ever

just keep it on asa and greetings from the wumembung

  • @MolaSango

you speak from my heart, we really need to fight back, it's time to show them that we won't stand by and look silently what is happening around us.

  • we talk about fighting others...we need to sort ourselves out first, alot of black peoples problems come from within,,,corrupt rulers and what not leading to corrupt popuation....

  • Chanson qui remet le pep's

  • You suppress all my strategy You oppress every part of me What you dont know, youre a victim too Mr Jailer

You dont care about my point of view If I die another will work for you So you threat me like a modern slave Mr Jailer

You dont care about my point of view If I die another will work for you So you threat me like a modern slave Mr Jailer

  • Am in chains youre in chains too I wear uniforms, you wear uniforms too Am a prisoner, youre a prisoner too Mr Jailer

I have fears you have fear too I will die, you sef go die too Life is beautiful dont you think so too Mr Jailer

  • superbe voix , elle chante trop bien . la guitare aussi est exellente ;

  • This tune is on point Asa is a bonafide artist

  • i am a little behind time. this girl is hot!!!!!!!!

  • LOL I hope your joking!

    Its obviously a metaphor!!

    And a good one too!

  • U just can't get the message; it says a lot !

  • are u serious??? damn... there are some stupid people in this world.

  • hey...so jst tell me the meaning...

maybe you're ryt...i'm too stupid to get it. so tell me...thats all i'm asking.

  • you said this song is "trash". u didn't jusk ask for the meaning. don't u turn nice on me now...

a jailer is someone who opresses people. there can be many different interpretations for the metaphor. for me, it's about racism, but that's because of my experiences with racism. The only thing I can say for sure is that she's talking about someone who considers some people "inferior" and she calls that someone (or group of people) "jailer" (or jailers). So it's also about modern slavery, etc.

  • looool

u know what? shut your stupid fuck up... and have a nice life.

  • @annonymousAiR4T Art is not always simple. Making a song simplistic does not make it more artistic. Take Britney Spears for example...her songs are as simple as the come. They all have the same format and everything...very basic. But, there really is no artistic quality in that. Then you can take musicians like Cecil Taylor or Charles Mingus, neither of whom ever did anything simple. Their work was always very complex. But, they were most certainly artists.

  • @sryididthis I salute your listening insight in music, for those of us with this insight are like gold dust nowadays. Of cause simpletons with no intellect will consider this complex, as anything that required them to listen & think is complex too them. Hmm, I get told all the time by these same morons that I speak like a white man, because I written and speak English in a correct, concise manner. I guess they think Blacks ain't supposed to have intellect. These are some pitiful times.

  • @annonymousAiR4T Artists of all forms use their trade to express their emotions and/or situations around them. They use their skills to express life. Life is not always simple, cut and dry. Life is complicated. Therefore many artist's work will reflect that. Personally, I don't consider this song complicated. I think it is tastefully simple, but for you to say it isn't simple enough blows my mind! And you criticism shows how little you know about what artists are trying to do.

  • ur obviously not smart enough to grab

  • Hey smart guy, could you tell me the meaning of this track?
