No, actually there is no dvi on the monitor. A completely normal HDMI cabel was used. :)

The monitor has got a HDMI and a VGA. :)

No, you don't. But you really should consider one, the picture quality is great! Also a flat screen TV doesn't need to be that expensive.

no but i really recommend in getting one, if possible get hd tv, LCD if possible (better for gaming than plasma). then get a hdmi cable to display your gameplay in HD, it looks fantastic. also this all will not cost you more than $400!

@yyyy2999 I don't think it will work. It probably has DVI, you can try that. Either get an adapter (comes with graphics card, usually.. You could probably buy them cheap.) I had an old screen with DVI that didn't work with the PS3. But you can try.

The PS3 loads the games onto the HDD automaticly, unlike the Xbox 360. A game doesn't take up much space. Not sure excactly how many mb, though.

I use the screen for my computer now. And it is 24" btw. The PS3 I've got set up with my 32" HD tv. :)

a lot of people hook their PS3 up to computer monitors. I have my 360 and PS3 hooked up to a computer monitor. You can get a 24inch computer monitor running at 1080p for a lot cheaper than a TV

They are very good for PS3/Xbox 360's, because of the very large resolution they have. A normal HDTV is 32", and has 1366x768, but a normal 24" monitor has 1920x1200. :)

The sofa isn't used when gaming, we use it for chilling out 'n' stuff. BTW, today or tomorrow I'll be ordering my i7 build, so I will be using the monitor for that. We may btw get a 42" or something then! :D
