However, i just dont like the album as a whole work, it feels like each song isn't strong enough to stand alone and rely on each other for support. People need to stop judging others for smoking. I'm sick of people trying to avoid me once they find out i smoke. They act like i'm going to drag them down, then they realize I get good grades, I'm in smarter classes, I'm friendly towards everyone. What's the worst i've done while high, sat down? ate food? listened to music? yet i'm still somehow a menace to society. *sigh*

@7hotfuzz7 I agree with you, pot is under the wrong impression. I just wish people would quit being ignorant and legalize it. If I'm not mistaken, legalizing pot would solve a lot of the problems with it being illegal. Also it's healthier than most think. In fact, marijuana scores near caffeine in terms of effects. Yet alcohol scores slightly worse than cocaine and alcohol is legal? I don't get it man..

This song's about the isolation of depression, according to the wikipedia article about it. There's something about this song that suggests it's about biploar disorder. In any case, the song, as well as the whole album are awesome! I'd love to see any band from the past 10 years make a work of art like this! Don't even think about it, Linkin Park! @Romeowasbleeding1 Weed has given me a deeper insight. If you actually have tried it then maybe you are just too shallow? Some artists attribute even being able to play an instrument to Cannabis use. I can certainly agree with you on the fact that you don't need anything other than what you are born with to enjoy this music, but calling the very drugs that helped spawn the music "lame" is blasphemy. You can't deny the effects weed and psychedelics have on human creativity and spirit.

If you want to understand psychedelic experiences in a spiritual contest, then meditate. I see drugs as lame since people use them as a crutch. To idolize any substance in the way you are, is madness. You're 18, play the guitar (to punish your mom) live at home. Move out, study and find a job. Drugs can help certain types of creativity, much of it poor.

There's nothing wrong with the responsible use of drugs but there is something wrong with casting judgement over the chemicals one likes to filter perception through. Here's how I see it. I discovered this music doing drugs. Loved it on drugs. I quit doing drugs (I have self control issues), and I still love it all the same. Actually, in a dark room with headphones on, this makes me feel "trippy"...the thought process, a bit of a body tingle....you know. All without the drugs. I'm inclined to see both sides of the argument.

Thanks for getting me through the hard times and the good times Floyd. I'll never forget the first time I dropped acid and listened to the album. If it were not for Floyd, who knows what kinda of shape I'd be in these days.

However, i just dont like the album as a whole work, it feels like each song isn't strong enough to stand alone and rely on each other for support. I know thats kind of the point of it but that doesn't mean i have to love it.
