Britain has the BBC, Canada the CBC, Australia the ABC, New Zealand NZBC. They produce excellent local content and news that is independent of market and corporate forces. I personally haven't seen enough evidence to convince me that 100 years (a microsecond for the Earth) of human industrial activity has been able to influence climate trends, powerful forces of nature, that have been going on for millions if not tens of millions of years.

When it was getting colder every year, we assumed it was us using pesticides or something.
Now it's getting warmer so we assume it's us again. We're really like cavemen experiencing their first winter. We scream and argue and eventually decide that it's because we used up all the heat when we made all those fires.

According to the propaganda model, it is irrelevant if the media leans to the left or right because corporations themselves are heirarchical systems and are not liberal by definition. What's more effective (and this is how the misconception develops) is if you take the propaganda you have provided by a corporate source (the news) and inject pseudo-liberal attitudes into it to further limit critical discussions and impose thought control. Plants outnumber us all, from algae, to the staggering population of grasses and their kin. Since plants are the majority of the biomass on earth, they naturally release more co2 into the atmosphere. Not just through respiration, but also during the decomposition process.

Won't happen, the sun isn't big enough to cause a supernova, it will become a red giant then shed its layers and become a white dwarf and fade away slowly.
Although we will be dead because all the water will have evaporated and earth will then be swallowed by the sun when it enters its red giant stage.
We have around 1 billion years left before the temperature of the sun rises enough to make the water on earth evaporate.

Our sun is already a red giant. Most stars reach critical mass during the red giant phase, then collapse, causing a supernova, THEN it becomes a white dwarf. Humans contribute a very minor amount of carbon dioxide to the environment. The vast majority of all carbon dioxide on earth is produced by plants, with the massive Amazon rainforest contributing the bulk of it. In addition to this, sulfur keeps the planet from warming up too much, thanks to the many active volcanoes present on earth. The sun IS and will continue to be the main cause of any fluctuation in atmospheric temperature. Novae. Lol. You noob.

If it's c02 that drives climate directly why did we have a major 30 year long cold spell after the post-war economic boom when c02 levels skyrocketed? I retract my belittling statement about the "educated". I recognise that the problem is not a lack of education, but a purposefull propaganda filled education on both sides of this issue. The sun will one day extinguish life on this planet due to the immutable laws of thermodynamics. its so true, billions spent on drug war. More illegal drugs flow into this country is higher than ever. War on terror, give me a break. billions spent and nothing has changed.

Things have changed. People in the US have gotten into more debt, and because the US has invaded Iraq and Afghanistan it has increased real hatred towards Americans. Now there actually might be a real risk of terrorism.

The physical volume fossil fuels being vaporized is astonition the world consumes cubic miles of fossil fuels turn solids, gas, and liquids in to vapor that was previosly not part of our atmosphere. You cannot tell me that that doesn't have an effect on the planet.

yeah they say we might go into one because the melting ice is stopping the transoceanic convey that circulates the hot water from the equator to the polar regions making the ocean temperature more moderate temperatures the cold fresh water from melting ice caps when this stops the everything outside of the tropics will become colder and drier tropics will become very hot and there will be other climate shifts in different parts of the world ice ages dont just start they have to be triggered

Nobody who takes science seriously "believes" in global warming. It's not a question of faith, it's science.
I personally haven't seen enough evidence to convince me that 100 years (a microsecond for the Earth) of human industrial activity has been able to influence climate trends, powerful forces of nature, that have been going on for millions if not tens of millions of years.
