This video is horrid. Huxley was not anti-drug as many people who have only read Brave New World might think. He was actually a huge proponent of LSD, Mescaline and Psilocybin. He was only against mindless drugs.
Media - television, internet, youtube, movies - is the soma of today's Brave New World. How ironic. Read Neil Postman's book, Amusing Ourselves to Death.
I don't think you understood 'brave New world'. You're implying that soma would be an illegal drug, whilst Huxley really meant to discuss doctor prescribed drugs, like antidepressants nowadays. Please read the book again thoroughly.
People have different views on what they perceive from the book. You really can't get into the authors true thoughts by just reading. And I don't see how I'm implying that soma is an illegal drug, it's a standard commercial showing that soma induces happiness in your body.
These kids need soma acting lessons.

They had no need for commercials, they were all influenced by hypnopaedia to like it.
The drug was developed by the goverment and far from illegal. Not taking soma was seen as being strange as the book clearly demonstrated.

Were the others supposed to be Lenina, Henry Foster, Bernard, and Fanny.

Well actually, they're just supposed to be random people... but maybe it would've been better if they all had the character names.
