Woking, in my opinion, is the best place in the country to live. Its muinates from thge capital, but itself had a rural, picturesque setting. You can get trains direct to london or the coast (portsmouth, weymouth) and it has a great shopping centre, transport links, and its very modern and yet it still has a great history (brookwood, the first crematorium, the first mosque ect ect). Woking Rules!!!!!!!!!

All those slating Woking, its hard to take your criticisms seriously when you can only find 4 letter words and racial slants to express them. Woking may not be the best place to live in the world, it is also FAR from the worst. There is plenty to like about living in Woking and my wife and I are proud to live here. It's well situated, populated generally by people who want to get on in life, surrounded by countryside and interesting places. Does it have problems? Yes. Negativity doesn't help.

Where else have you lived? I think by most peoples standards Woking is a good place. My wife and I are very happy to live here after living in Chelmsford. Not saying Chelmsford is bad, but Woking is a lot more convenient, and there are better jobs in Surrey - especially in IT.

I used to live there, Horsell Village, Woking with my wife and son for about 6 years. I was brought up in Guildford. There is some nice parts of Woking like St Johns village and Horsell. We used to enjoy our walks down the canal.
