That's cool that the cats didnt try and at least check the chicken out. My cats have tried stalking and checking adult chickens out to later be painfully pecked and flogged.
wow thats awesome, i was wondering, i have a couple of chicks in my garden, and they're only like 2weeks old, but i really want them to run free in the garden but we have a problem of cats constantly climbing over our wall, and attempting to attack them, any suggestions for my predicament?
I would keep a close watch on the chicks until they are bigger. They'll defend themselves and the cats will be running away from them when they are larger. Lock them up in a cage at night. Raccoons will kill them. Chicken was treed a few times by raccoons.
Hahaha. I'm surprised your cats didn't attack your chicken. On the other hand, my chicken, Purru, rules the garden with an iron fist. My three Chihuhuas are terrified of her, although they have been known to fight back every now and then. Anyways, cute chicken you've got there. =]
I have no clue what kind of chicken she is. She just appeared one day.
The only thing she was afraid of is raccoons. They would try to kill her. We had to rescue her about 6 times in the middle of the night.

Cats don't trust chickens and most chickens aren't really afraid of cats.

Chicken was the boss and she made sure the cats knew it.

Chicken doesn't mind cats. She loves cat food and was eating shredded chicken in sauce when the video was taken.
