@itzrkb I'm just being honest. Sully totally ripped off Layne Staley and Alice in Chains and he's a total wannabe rockstar type and always has been. He's also like 4 feet tall and scrawny. The band is even named after an Alice in Chains song, and the Godsmack sun is an AIC symbol.

also guys...jjohn bonham played those triplets with one bass drum and one bass drum pedal, funny how godsmack's drummer can't do that, like I said decent cover, just sounds too polished, missing the sloppy tone of the guitar, it sounds to clean, not as bluesy as its supposed to, and its missing the cowbell!!! this drummer certainly cant hold a candle to bonham

solid cover, Sully did it his own way. At least he didn't try and copy Robert Plante that could have been bad. I liked the song alot wasn't sure what to expect but very solid.
Decent cover, but sounds too polished. It's just not good without the groovy rhythm section of Bonham/Jones, the bluesy bright sound of Jimmy Page on guitar, and the classic raw sound of Robert Plant's vocals. This is a decent attempt, but mediocre at best. And i've never been able to tolerate that singer's voice, I just can't get past it.

also guys...jjohn bonham played those triplets with one bass drum and one bass drum pedal, funny how godsmack's drummer can't do that, like I said decent cover, just sounds too polished, missing the sloppy tone of the guitar, it sounds to clean, not as bluesy as its supposed to, and its missing the cowbell!!! this drummer certainly cant hold a candle to bonham

solid cover, Sully did it his own way. At least he didn't try and copy Robert Plante that could have been bad. I liked the song alot wasn't sure what to expect but very solid.

Decent cover, but sounds too polished. It's just not good without the groovy rhythm section of Bonham/Jones, the bluesy bright sound of Jimmy Page on guitar, and the classic raw sound of Robert Plant's vocals. This is a decent attempt, but mediocre at best. And i've never been able to tolerate that singer's voice, I just can't get past it.

I thought Sully Erna had a great voice in rock these days, but you mentioned that you can't "tolerate that singer's voice". I've been a Godsmack fan for quite sometime, but guess I've been listening to the wrong band and that's why I'd like you to point me in the right direction, if you please.

@12101916 Well let's see, there's Freddie Mercury, one of the greatest singers who ever lived. ha. Steven Tyler, Steve Perry, Ronnie James Dio, David Coverdale, Rob Halford, and Robert Plant of course. There's many more, it just depends on what style you like.

Freddy Mercury & Rob Halford, are some of the greatest indeed (I'd even add Axl Rose & James Hetfield to that list), but Steven Tyler? not up to my taste. I'm not saying he's a bad singer, I just can't get past his "whiny" voice.

well i think its a good cover but i still think that Plant's voice is so much better than him and also Bonham Jones and Page there s no way to compare led zeppelin with other bands and also led zeppelin had something very special together something that the people get trapped!!! but one thing i can say its that you must be brave to cover a led zeppelin song

I'm a Zep fan til the day I die, and I think these guys did a great cover of this song. I think that people need to do covers like this to help expose people to great music that they wouldn't be exposed to otherwise. Great song.
