Actually, the concept is not the same. There is 1 God who created all things. He has 1 begotten Son, Jesus Christ, whom He gave as a sacrifice to the world. What if someone does bad things but then TRULY repents of them, and then turns over a new leaf in life? Or if someone goes most of their life doing good, but has some bad things they do? In this case he will suffer the punishment for the bad things he did and then spend the rest of his eternal life with good reward.

How then would he attain those sinful desires if he's in heaven, where you say he'd get everything he wants? Yet heaven is "purified," and it seems counter intuitive that sin would exist there.
(2) Since all sin is punishable, perhaps by "hell," as you've suggested, what is it that would make it so that one would move from hell, then into heaven? How is God's justice every truly satisfied in this way?
I already said that in heaven, everybody's heart will be purified. Over there they will not want to have any bad ambitions . In heaven they will hat a totally different state of mind and unique free will which cannot be explained here in this universe.
In hell you will suffer a limited punishment for your sins that you did in life. Once that limited punishment (its duration etc) is over, you will be reward with a place in heaven.
If a man is punished because of his thoughts alone, but after the punishment, he's still a man...still perhaps in his heart desiring to gratify his own selfishness for lust or greed or pride. His nature doesnt change necessarily just b/c of punishment, right? (I mean, just think about people that get out of prison and then offend again)

Over there, a person's nature WILL change once he has been through his treatment in hell. Thoughts will be judged by god. Thought (with ambitions) of murdering somebody is severe. Whereas a thought of little lie is innocent. God will make the Judgment accordingly.
We see Christ as our advocate and Savior and the Holy Spirit as a comforter and one who is able to bring clarity to the Word of God. However, we believe that there is only 1 true and living God and both Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit testify of His sovereignty.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but the truth is, acts alone cannot save a person. If our good deeds alone could save us, to what standard of "goodness" could we hold ourselves to? Humans, by nature, are imperfect creatures who make mistakes. How then can we determine which acts are good enough to save and which aren't? Only a perfect God can do that.

Humans do a lot of acts in their life time. Some are good some are bad. You know murder, lying, theft..etc bad. And truth, honest etc is good. The God will Judge you based on your act and deeds. He will reward you for the goods you do and Punish you for the bad you do. Simple as that. It is called perfect Justice. There is no justice system in the world where you commit a murder an they hang somebody else. But I am shocked that your Pagan pastors are feeding you this bizarre crape!

Not at all. But God never instructed us to argue over His Word. We are merely ambassadors for Him. Our purpose is to glorify Him in the lives that we live, inspite of our imperfections. We are to be salt and light in the earth . . . to tell of God's goodness and mercy . . .to speak of His love and the salvation available to all who desire to have it. Whether the message is received or not is irrelevant . . . our only responsibility is to put it out there. God will do the rest.

You say God will judge based on acts and deeds; that we'll receive good things for the good we do and bad for the bad. What if someone does bad things but then TRULY repents of them, and then turns over a new leaf in life? Or if someone goes most of their life doing good, but has some bad things they do? Or what if they just WANT to kill someone, plan it out and intend on doing it, but never have the opportunity. If they have a murderous heart, but never actually do it? What is the reward then?

First case: "What .. TRULY repents .. new leaf in life"
In this case he will suffer the punishment for the bad things he did and then spend the rest of his eternal life with good reward.
For example let say, you have slapped me. Then either I have to forgive you for the that slap or you will suffer the punishment whatever the GOD has set for it. Once all of your punishment for all of the sins and crime has been suffered, you will start getting the reward thereafter. simple as that.

So what of someone who wants to cheat on his wife, or wants to sleep with his friend's wife, or cheats on a test at school, or lies to make his way to the top of corporate america? What if a person did good things his whole life, but for the wrong reasons (ie, gave to the poor only to be seen, and praised).

Doesn't matter if you belief in GOD or not. You still have done goods and bad in your life. Common wisdom says he will get the reward and punishment accordingly. And of course he will get some punishment for his not believing in GOD.
It doesn't matter to know what is the Nature of the reward is. Let say, Reward is the Heaven where you get everything you want. There your heart will get purified from God.
In punishment: you might find yourself in hell.

* ALL sin, great and small--from lying, down to murder--is worthy of God's punishment (since God is judge, it seems safe to say that you believe that his judgement is perfect, just as he is perfect).
* You say that in punishment for ALL/ANY sin, "you might find yourself in hell."

Just to add here that:
Sin can be forgiven if the person (whom sin was intended to) forgives the sinner.
For example if Person A murder Person B. Than Person B can choose to forgive Person A for that sin and crime.

Let say you have helped the poor with some bad intentions. Then you will get the punishment for your bad intentions. And you will get the reward for the work that you did. Simple as that! This reward (of helping poor) is not going to be wasted just because you don't believe on god. You will get a separate punishment for not believing on him.

It is the God's Justice system that the entire trial is happening. It is the God's power which is bringing the sinner to faced the Justice. It is the GOD who has decided that what the punishment or reward should be. It is the GOD who have decided that if you want to forgive your offender than he will give you the opportunity to forgive the offender.

Dont think I'm trying to "spin;" that's not the case. There are so many people that believe in very different things. There are tons of religions throughout the world; since I dont know what yours is, or if you just follow something on your own, I ask questions. Your judgement is sound to believe that all sin deserves punishment. But since all of us are guilty of sin, no one can escape punishment on his/her own. This beckons the need for a grace-based salvation, and not one based on our works.

How then would he attain those sinful desires if he's in heaven, where you say he'd get everything he wants? Yet heaven is "purified," and it seems counter intuitive that sin would exist there.
(2) Since all sin is punishable, perhaps by "hell," as you've suggested, what is it that would make it so that one would move from hell, then into heaven? How is God's justice every truly satisfied in this way?

I already said that in heaven, everybody's heart will be purified. Over there they will not want to have any bad ambitions . In heaven they will hat a totally different state of mind and unique free will which cannot be explained here in this universe.
In hell you will suffer a limited punishment for your sins that you did in life. Once that limited punishment (its duration etc) is over, you will be reward with a place in heaven.

If a man is punished because of his thoughts alone, but after the punishment, he's still a man...still perhaps in his heart desiring to gratify his own selfishness for lust or greed or pride. His nature doesnt change necessarily just b/c of punishment, right? (I mean, just think about people that get out of prison and then offend again)

A person's nature may or may not change in his life on this earth. But hell (and heaven) is totally a different reality. Over there, a person's nature WILL change once he has been through his treatment in hell. Let say the hell is kind of a hospital that you will never get cancer once you have got the (painful) treatment.
Thoughts will be judged by god. Thought (with ambitions) of murdering somebody is severe. Whereas a thought of little lie is innocent. God will make the Judgment accordingly.

We have only TWO real choices: 1) Believe in something that is (granted) hard to believe- a Creator who is unseen, or 2) Believe in the IMPOSSIBLE- that life, the universe and its complexity came from nothing all on its own.
