  • white power, white pride, white AMERICA

  • AMMMMMMEEEERRRRIIIIICCCCAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember this. I miss club laga

  • The original song may not have been meant to be a patriotic song but what would compel DKM to play this at their celtic themed gigs? also note this show is exactly one month after 9/11. im pretty sure everyone singing in that room is singing those words because they are proud to be american

  • epic voice

  • I was at that show. Goodtimes.

  • 1 month after 9 11

  • NO SURRENDER PRO AND BE PROUD

  • @ByzanzRebel

prod prod east bellast glasgow hamburg

  • Dropkick should cover "No Surrender"!

  • Hey any chance you have footage of the spicy mchaggis jig from that show?? I think I was at this one but i cant find my ticket stub to check the date!!

  • This is like ultimate orgasm for me - DkM and Springsteen combined. Gimme Dropkick and Bruce on the same stage, singing Glory Days and I can die, spot on.

  • They played a song with him a few months back on his tour, not sure what song tho.

  • Badlands

  • American Land

  • thats freakin awsome...but why is half the audience just standing there..how lame....probably dont even know who sings the song

  • lol, i think most of them are pressed against the stage and just can't move :)

  • any roo'ers on here think dkm should sign onto the bonnaroo line up and do an epic set with bruce?

  • I was believed that Born In the USA is a punk song.

  • (*** Please note, as people have written to me: "(This song is) a tale of a VietNam vet being treated like shit thru his entire life, "sent off to a foreign land to kill a yellow man" and being spat on upon his return back home..." In other words, this is NOT a patriotic song.)

  • @sarcasmfive It depends on how you define "patriotism". Is patriotism following the actions of our supposedly elected government blindly? Or is patriotism writing a song questioning the policies and actions of our leaders?

  • @sleepinggorilla sir im very much an american proud to have been born here and raised here. yet you must understand that many young men who fought in war and were wounded for their service of our country they fought for the core beliefs as americans and were persecuted and spat apon. just take the song for what it is and dont miss inform the public. YOU AMERICAN?

  • @sarcasmfive Depends on how you see it, everyone does not think EXACTLY like you.....

  • i love bruce and the murphys...this is a great cover. the kid sings it very well.

  • FUCK YOU

  • I love the Dropkicks and Springsteen.

  • I totally remember this place!! Club Laga was the shit. Only place where I've ever been able to actually rush the stage. Shame they turned it into dorm rooms.

  • Good song marc is a good singer

  • probaly 'cause they let the kid sing this one. if not or al DKM would have sunk long time ago. he's become one of the only constants in that band and his voice is known as the voice of DKM now way more than Mike's ever was

  • Is that Marc singing?

  • So are dropkick murphys an oi band? I like alot of their stuff, but I don't know too much about the oi scene.

  • Dropkick just aren't the same without the Kid. It's a shame he left.

  • It's a shame what DKM has become without him. And I more and more seem to realize why he left the band. Coz after all it seems that they turn into cheesy popstars...

  • @poguemahone1969 Too true. He is such a legend. I still love the band but it's not what it was. Go back about 8 years and it was awesome. They're like charactures of themselves

  • @MRSPADDY I wouldn't say they're caricatures of themselves, but losing Marc certainly hurt them big time. They're just not the same without him.

  • @BigD1987 Too true. I gave up on them a while ago. Even seeing pictures of them now not annoys me, more upsets me. They used to be so great. Do or Die to Blackout (half the blackout album I'd say) was fantastic, so much aggression, energy, fun and good punk rock music. Now it wouldn't surprise me if they came out dressed as leprachauns (sp?) irish dancing to a slightly punked up version of lord of the dance. Marc was a legend and they seemed to go a bit mad when he left.

  • That kicks ass! Would probably sound alot better if you had someone playing it on synthesizer though.

  • Fucking awsome!

  • wow!

  • this bands the Pink Floyd of punk rock, with like 2 of the original dudes and then 7 other people to round it out. i think its just the drummer and bass player left of the original. although Al kinda counts.

  • Matt Kelly[Drummer] is NOT an original member. He's been around since Do or Die, though.

This is awesome. If you have the full show could I maybe get a DVD of it? I'd be willing to trade for it.

I'll give you the DVD of Al Barr's first show with DKM or an old McColgan-era DKM DVD for this if you've got the full set.

  • @digitaIIive Ken is the only sole member, Matt Kelly joined a little after formation. I love Al, but the Mike era was my favorite, they had more attitude, and back then Ken SHREDDED on bass, now hes too busy singing

  • I miss The Kid already. Band is not the same without him, definitely my favorite non original member.

  • Yeah the kid is an awesome guitar player and singer, you should check out his rockband called "The gimme danger's" James Lynch and Tim Brennan is in that band to.

But i think Tim and james are handling the guitars in dropkick well and the new guy Jeff is a happy guy who shines on stage :)

    GREAT VIDEO

  • I saw the St.Patrick's Day weekend and honestly, without the Kid the stage presence is just not the same of the band. The best part was he was on stage watching them the whole time rocking out and during Tessie he started doing little fills on the keyboard and Jeff moved out of the way during the solo and The kid hoped on and went fucking nuts, it was great

  • man, I was at both shows at the 'Dise, and couldn't agree more with you. It seemed like "the new guy" was trying too hard, didn't have the natural craziness that Marc has...

  • yeah, Gimme Danger's are tight...was drinking in the bar their bassist Ben works at on Harvard Ave on St Paddy's day before the DKM show...they opened for the Pogues one of their first gigs, not bad...got good reviews
