  • @ aaronananta There is nothing in enlightenment for the mind, nothing to grasp. The struggle is because we are trying to bring mind along. There is nothing to earn because nothing has been lost. This message is not for your mind, but that is where people initially approach it from. There is no journey because you can never move on from your self. Your ears aren't open yet.

  • lovely

  • Finally a voice of reason on the enlightenment stage. Thank you. I'm going to post your video on my next blog "Stop Searching and Start Living"

  • I believe he is saying that if we try to hard to find spritual awareness we only distract ourself from seeeing our True Self. Remember the old saying k.i.s.s. keep it simple stupid?not that we are stupid of course.

  • I agree !

    Take care.

  • This guy is the black Alan Watts.

  • The human bears a spirit that does not die nor sleep during the deepest sleep; it records all thoughts and motions; it informs the human whether his thoughts are correct or false-if he has learned to pay attention.

The spirit within the human is the bearer of the creative realm, and every human has his own (spirit).

  • It is incomprehensible that the human speaks of a heaven and of a kingdom of heaven within himself, rather than to merely say: Creation, truth, knowledge, wisdom, spirit, consciousness and existence.

  • Ah, I am in Awe, what a great master of the art of "Slack-ass Yoga" not real yoga

  • Do you not understand? Oh, forget it...

  • Oh, I understand his point perfectly clear, but i dont agree with him, simply having the notion that I am enlightened or perfect is not enough, it is not the goal, its just a concept, and if Moojie says"forget about that too" I would say that nothing at all can come out of simply "forgetting about everything" but perhaps his goal is some type of zen like nothingness, what's the point of that.

  • its like trying to believe yourself into being a martial arts master, sorry but it wont work, you have to do a lot of work, and the same is true for a spiritual master.

  • The hard work is very much present, in asserting control over your own thoughts("thinking of not thinking" is not meditation) .And I believe he meant that the state described as enlightenment arises from an adaptive rewiring of the brain after it's comfortable with absolutely not using any lens (conscious thoughts) through which to filter reality.

  • @igoronline I see. Its not so much about controlling your thoughts, as those thoughts are revealing something to you. In every moment of breath they are showing you exactly what you have allowed yourSelf to become in seperation. Stop thoughts and old patterns yes, but stand one and equal to your thoughts. They support you to SEE.

  • @aaronananta very true. the actual capacity to realize the truth and grasp the timeless and simple quality of it (to rest in it and find peace) can only be got by first devoting yourself to the discipline of seeking it. a great irony and paradox, but there is an intrinsic difference between hearing this message, taking it for granted and forgetting all about it again the next minute, and earning the final understanding through an inner journey of discovery.

  • Forget about Mooji... also

  • Jesus is A Saviour, or a leader of the way, not THE saviour....IMHO

  • It is interesting to see how some people sees Mohammed or Jesus or whoever as a saviour. Saviour for what ? Religious faith is such an en-doctrinal mechanism that it forbids any kind of enlightenment.

I wish you could listen to Mooji without all those religious concepts and be free from desires of salvation or keep them to yourself

  • Saviour for what lol, what happens even if you don't try and save yourself? A created world implies a creator, the world is not created though, it appears and disappears and is unflowing instead of ongoing. A creation needs an end time, where is the end for that which never began? A creation needs a saviour, a saviour for what? It is truly ridiculous, common sense hooked on an 18th century idea that the world is created like a potmaker makes a pot. lol

  • Forget about it.

  • How can I forget about it? I am what is known as mind. I have to interpret everything, and I am telling you. I know the world is happening of itself, and I don't have control as I Imagine, but I am intelligence. I am not separate from being, I am being as well. I am certain of so much, and at the same time, my only reality is temporary and insignificant. I Exist though!! I think therefor I don't know. Wait no, I exist! lol

  • Forget about it.

  • I agree. I only said what I said below becaust the "bible" is driving me crazy because I grew up on it. It condradicts itself and doesn't make much sense. Antd there are so many ways to interpret it. And yet it is loaded with wisdom. LOL!! That is why I threw my bible across my room it was driving me insane.

  • But people keep claiming they have a "Relationship" with jesus. Now are they delusional? Or are they telling the truth? I tried and I tried.

  • @HeyWakeUpPeople DELUSIONAL you KNOW this be clear about that.

  • I believe that anybody who comes to Mooji here and hears this and knows that it is true, has the holy spirit in them. But remember Jesus is the savior. Even to Mooji.

  • Amen

  • Though i am wondeing what Mooji says about the resurrection of Christ.. Do You knwo that?

  • Please dont just say "Forget about resurrection. Just forget about it"

  • Comment removed

  • well then also the whole bible would be nonsense.. according to Moojij it would just be a concept.. 'forget about it' he would say. Even Bob Marley sung about biblical truths.. but lets forget about it...

  • Comment removed

  • well buddha also said believe nothing so it would be okay i guess.. jesus says who believeth in me shall find everlasting life.. what is that? 'Believing in Him'?

  • Comment removed

  • i guess it is to believe in teh spirit of the truth.. but the bible says the spirit of truth is been given to those who believe christ is resurrected from death... as the gospel also tell about..that He is risen from death is it a fairytale?

  • Comment removed

  • as i am intersted in his teachings i certainly will!!

  • lets leave this conversation for now by mentioning a quote from our dear brother Buddha ... which is "believe nothing" :-)

  • For example, a lot of christians think they are helping society when they are only hurting it with ignorance and hypocracy.

  • yes i agree bro! there is a lot of ignorance.

  • I believe Mooji has the holy spirit in him, and his teachings only work if you have the holy spirit in you. So I ask you to pray to Jesus, and then forget about everything.

  • Comment removed

  • yes i find myself being a hypocrite if i tell myself to believe some stories mentioned in the bible which seems impossible to be true.. that's why i am also interested in Mr. Mooji's beliee about these things, but i defintaley believe he answers immediately: "Forget about it!" :)

  • Comment removed

  • You know what, forget about anything I said. I believe Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Don't forget that. I only came to my conclusions through Jesus christ and I believe he is the only one who can save us from hell. Mooji can save us from suffering on this planet, but Jesus can save us from eternal hell.

  • "make a cup of tea" - us Brits have enlightenment licked!

  • enlightenment is just a word

  • Bullshit

  • Comment removed

  • Without words there is nothing.

  • Comment removed

  • That's actually really helpful to me. Thanks. After all, if we felt ourselves to be entirely whole and complete, we would not be searching for anything. We would simply be and would be happy with our wholeness and knowing of our selves. These statements used to come off as ignorant to me but it seems the universe is just a fan of irony. We tire of ignorance, search for happiness through understanding and find happiness in ignorance.

  • good point there wtc911

  • Now that I have seen this, I will never need to watch any more of Mooji's videos or read any of his material! There is nothing to do, and all of THIS is a waste of time... now that I know.

  • Now you see :)

  • However, it is not a waste of time. Time cannot be wasted nor used correctly. Time is eternal. It is not as we see it. For if time went backwards forever, we never would have gotten to this point in time. This, therefore, is also an illusion. For reality is infinite. And infinite is not linear... such as time. In fact nothing is actually linear. We just make it that way to understand it, for we can only think "focused" on a linear basis. However, to focus means to disclude the rest of reality.

  • But to disclude the rest of reality, is also to disclude that which is being focused. True knowledge cannot be described. True knowledge is...

  • there is no enlightenment ... as there is no perfection.. but the only thing that exists is the ''here and now'' and whether you do what you wanted to do in that ''here and now''

  • searching for enlightenment is like a little fish in a big ocean looking for water.

  • I always preferred the saying "To search for enlightenment is like stepping forward to achieve standing still. " I dig the nuances.

  • He's not saying reject your desires. He's saying don't attach your IDENTITY to the fulfillment of those desires. Sure we encounter obstacles in life (like getting the job or mate you want), but there are no "obstacles" to your beingness. Who you are transcends your desires, circumstances, experiences, personality, identity markers (age, name, occupation, race, gender etc.). It's okay to HAVE those identities / goals / experiences, but we tend to fall for the illusion that we ARE those things.

  • onometopoeia (3 weeks ago) ,

I think you summed it up perfectly there

  • exactly igorek0121 i agree. great vid

  • You know, I'm starting to realize that we should all stop trying to "learn" something new from gurus, but just try and do ourselves. All it takes is a little bit of curiosity and patients. Never the less I came with this thought by watching Mooji :) Great Guy.

  • WOOOW ! Just incredible speech by Mooji ! Much respect to this being !

  • If enlightenment does not allow you to become popular, wealthy or set up a guru cult then it is worthless.

  • u have missed the entire point of enlightenment with that statement. enlightenment is an awakening, not a popularity contest

  • Sadly, that is what most are indoctrinated to think....

  • There have been lots of 'enlightened' hermits, Lao Tzu for a start, and are the people with lots of money and cults happy, at ease and loving their life? or do we hear they are often the most unhappy, that have to drug themselves back to sleep ;) I don't know?

  • For instance, Britney Spears, the most fancied girl, has shitloads of money, popular, has basically a pop cult, happy? mmmmmm.......? Well she shaved her head and wrote 666 on it so I guess maybe she isn't totally fullfilled... haha...

  • Ha - good one. But you don't have to be enlightened to be a fraud. On the contrary! When someone is really enlightened he is no more interested in worldly stuff like fame and power.

  • now subtitles in rumanian too

  • Just forget it, forget it, it.

  • In a course in miracles Jesus says you dont have to do anything.

  • Love how you express things, but thats only me. The content hits my inner truth! Thanks!

  • I sense that you are talking to god, because the people you are talking to is apart of the experience. It feels like you are talking to man. For me to see that this is just an experience that I am witnessing. For me to wake up and be seperate from the experience.

  • When you realize that the light or things real is coming from the self and not from another source, it is easy to know that I am already enlightened.

  • begiinners need sadhana usually,

    unless really ripe......vasana's !

  • Beware lest any man spoil you through PHILOSOPHY, and VAIN DECEIT after the TRADITION OF MEN and not AFTER CHRIST.

    COLOSSIAN 2:8

    (WORDS STRAIGHT FROM OUR CREATOR)

    Jesus is Lord!!

  • Yes, beware, and listen carefully. Notice those who insist and shout (all caps). The truth will come from someone calm and at peace who gently offers you the truth.

  • well said....:D

  • Jesus was a man.

  • The laughter point he made is so good!!

  • briefly: rasta=lust=suffering=ignorance.

  • i think most that claim to seek the self or knowledge or enlightenment, know that if you seek it there is something missing, and that can create a lifelong goal, that way you might not become bored with your self, your knowledge, or your enlightenment.

  • Interesting point

Schopenhauer stated that human life is a pendulum swaying between boredom and suffering.

  • it's the swaying that is fun, i find this strange though, because in my mind, nothing could ever be missing from the self, yet people seek it. Like looking for your keys when they are already in the ignition.

  • well that's comforting.

  • Yes, Nisargadatta stated that life is a river that flows between the banks of pleasure and pain.

  • Yes, it is a beautiful point the seeking and also a trap

  • It's like to say: "Forget the 1 Million Dollars. You don't need them. Give me the money!"

  • To say to other people "forget it" is an old trick to have it for self!

  • After visiting you in Brixton I would just like to express my deepest love and respect for all you have help me with. Loving-kindness. D

  • Mooji has the wings of an angel in this video :)

  • pleeesse no rock star worship.

they are ALL ONLY HUMAN with shadow sides

  • It's like that which is being aware wants to be enjoyed, so it puts on a circus of thoughts to take your concern. But when you become not concerned with the circus, you become aware of the "I am."

  • simpler than simple

    you are simply here

  • one of the best dharma talks -ever,deep respect

  • I hope he doesn't get crucified .. looking at past track record on this planet :)

Yes, agree that's all there is to it what we call enlightenement ..

"Moo" as cow does .. "ji" for respect ... how satirical and catchy ... Is he making fun of past enlightened masters ?

  • What a Beautifull Video : ),

    Thank You :D

  • This has got to be one of the BEST videos/discourses about Enlightenment, Liberation, Moksha, Self-Realization, etc.!!! Mooji you are brilliant, wise, and sweet. I AM AWARENESS. I AM That Space where every thought, word, and action Appear and Disappear. Thank you, Mooji!

  • ihjvbad If you are carrying your past ,you are like a person with a chain attatched to your constantly, what are you carrying this fearful burden for?Drop it ,and instantly the enlightened I reaveals itself as you.Now is life and we are beings of Now.There is no past in this garden of a planet earth, you only think there is.

  • I think I am looking at the wrong stuff. I want bliss and peace even whjle suffering. Email me if you know that religion.

  • It's distrubing to read the insanity of youtube comments.

  • Love is pure sensation it needs no other no other at all love is a deep feeling realisation it is life itself Now.

  • To live fully in the now is enlightenment now is eternity time will be seen through if you still have time in you then you are asleep timeless being is NOW!

  • Monastary my arse i am an enlightened being now in the world but not of it ,now is enlightenment feel your inner being your body now when you can feel it fully thats enlightenment.

  • hey! are you fully enlightened? if so could u help me a little bit? i'm really really close to it (really close) and I'd like to speed up the process as much as possible. do u have some sort of IM?

  • Look Now is the ORIGINAL AND ONLY STATE OF LIFE AND YOU ARE THAT,END OF.....

  • Baha'u'llah says the real treasury of man is knowledge. The world is in utter chaos, barbarism and depravity. What is needed is not merely 'to be', however peaceful that might seem...until the torment afflicts, disturbs and breaks our serenity, but to become an instrument to stem the flood waters of apathy, indifference and denial, thus being the change needed to truly liberate one's being - one's soul, in order to advance the cause of enlightenment, selflessness and servitude.

  • to be perfectly enlightened and nondual, you have to live in a monastery or a cave! Let's not kid ourselves!

  • if someone thinks, and then goes and steals, did the thought just happen?

  • Yep, that thought just happened but it was a product of the ego and they listened to it. They fell into the illusion that they're ego itself. Nobody is their thoughts, they're here to be used, not to use us.

  • Stop giving energy to thoughts as something important and you have enlightenment. Thoughts just happen, that's it. There is nothing to them. ;)

  • This guy is awesome. I wanna smoke a joint with him. I'm of course assuming he tokes because he's Jamaican.

  • just more dung heaped on dung

  • Good stuff from Mooji. wow the music in the beginning is amazing!!

  • its always simple. identifying with the mind and its contents, becoming mired in the mind, the un-namable essence/being is obscured. just be, surrender. He said it best 'everything is the Self'. Just drop it, yet it can only be dropped when our value projected on everything is withdrawn.

  • mysticradio , why have you decided that it is the mind that allows ou to survive? the mind and you.... 2 different things.

  • Bravo! This video really speaks to me!

  • maybe God just wants you to obey the 10 commandments, and not play with your Mooji mind

  • Dont believe a word just pay attention to what is currently happening in what is

  • what?

  • Comment removed

  • Simply Pointers,,, Iam what is.

  • how can the mind be at complete rest when we have to survive..... eat..... make money.....SURVIVE

  • We only need abstract thought to survive on this planet, only abstract thought. The mind will be at rest when you see through all that is false within the mind.

  • Life can be summed up like that too!!! Mike

  • Hi Mooji, I like this video. This is Gilbert from the Urban Guru Cafe Podcast. It is pleasant to see someone speaking clearly about the obvious clear and totally available presence of pure knowing. Forget about enlightenment - exactly.

    Warm regards - Gilbert.

  • Once enlightened it is an on-going process.Don't forget you are now in eternity and infinity it is endless.you go steadily deeper into the self or God.and it never ends.

  • Easier said than done.

  • Truth.

    Many Blessings,

    Andrew
