Ahh, 1991 the year I graduated from High School. Well kid, unfortunately you missed out on the best decade ever. The technology wasn't quite their yet in the 80's but everything else was great!!!

@KMG68 There was limited internet for personal use via expensive dialup services such as GeNie, The Well, and Compuserve and the others. Nothing like today for sure. But don't forget the BBS's they were pretty cool, and systems like FIDO-net were somewhat effective. By 1987 I was getting the majority of the software I used off the net. It was very sparse, I used to ftp to a computer at caltech which had a list of software archives like ftp dot funet dot fi, and simtel dot army dot mil. Ah!!!

I have written this before. In 1981 I was interviewed for a position as a store detective at May Company in Westminster California. The man who interviewed me asked me what I wanted to do for a long term career. I told him that I wanted to be a cop. When I asked him if he wanted to be a cop, he said, "No, I am going to be a rock star." His name was Ric Olson. Ric went on to be the guitar player for Berlin. Good for you Ric, good things do happen.
