He even knew Cai put her up to it since seeing the pics of those two is what tipped him off to it in the first place. He knew she started out doing it to punish him and then slowly changed her mind. On top of that he just heard her refusing the money, and he already knows she tried to break off the engagement. Love the drama lol, but this is silly.

There is one big flaw in this drama. When Xiao Mai first told Jin that Emp is planning their wedding, from then he already knew that Xiao Mai made an agreement with Cai, and she obviously didn't like him for real. But yet he look surprised when he saw them with the cheque?
