Minus The Herd was a let down for many fans because the one thing that made Ion Dissonance stand out - their brutal intensity and chaotic sound, dissapeared in favour of a more run-of-the-mill sound.

MTH is still a good album though, and still much more interesting than the pile of tripe I hear when searching for other bands looking for that ID sound I love so much.

Gab was a huge part of ID, it's a shame he left.

in my opinion the first two albums were just too much crazyness for me. just too much chaos and not enough solidarity and of course not a big fan of high pitch scream vocals. dont get me wrong songs like binary pt. 2 and oceanic motion were awesome. but i think minus the herd was their best work. its still has the hints of chaos from their older albums but with much more solidarity and lots of atmosphere plus the vocals are pretty sick. but i hope that cursed really break some kickass grounds

Everyone needs to stop going ga-ga over this. If anything, the music in this clip is a bad sign. All the original Ion fans wanted the anger, fury and chaos to come back that made the first two albums so good. Minus the heard is a fun album, don't get me wrong, but it's fucking lazy.
