Skyrim Revealing the Unseen quest bug/glitch

I hate Beth Tech support. I cant even get the darn Crystal to give the guy in the first place. I went back and searched EVERY body. I beat the last bot, got the key.

I even used Clairvoyance and still no results. It sends me to the same door over and over again. I go through the door and it tells me to go back through the door.

The Falmer guy looted a Gyro heart or something instead of the crystal. I even went back a save or three and still no crystal drop from that Falmer boss.

I just had the exact same glitch on pc.... I typed "setstage MG06 55" (minus the quotes" into the console and it fixed it by completing that specific part of the quest... hopefully this helps others. This is the 2nd game-breaking glitch I've run into in the week I've owned the game :(

Also, hate to do this, but thumbs up so people see the solution.

The only way to fix this problem is if you reload a save before you putt the cristal in the Dwarven Armillary. The glitch appears when you putt the cristal in. Its a very little chance, but it happens.

I'm having the same issue and its so fucking annoying. I spent close to 2 1/2 hours doing this quest only for the game to bug out on the very last part. This is fucking stupid, fix your game Bethesda!

@oneloveso What? Lol there's an auto save when you load into new zones, so soon as you entered the dungeon it auto saved...

Hope you guys save often! I tried the same fix as @rohankarnik on Xbox 360. I reloaded from a previous save, re-initiated the convo with the NPC, loaded the focusing crystal. And now it works with the spells as it should. One other thing..I didn't have the Frostbite spell before. This time I got the Frostbite spell tome, read it, and readied the spell before inserting the Crystal. My guess is the save re-load is the actual fix, but that's one more thing you can try.

Don't use frost and fire at the same time. Fire makes them move in one direction and frost makes them move in the other direction. Both does nothing.

I just checked to see were my last save was and the ps3 had saved at the enterance to the boiler room. Now it works all fine and dandy.Check your saves :)

Having the same problem on the 360 bro, I've been looking around on the internet and for PC you can fix it by opening the console (Press § or ½ depending on your keyboard layout), and type "player.SetStage MG06 55". That should take you to the next part of the event. Shame there's no fix for the 360 =/
