  • mantabbppp...

  • Also, see 5:25-5:57 of this:

    /watch?v=V7yScwoDpbk

For another example of what a guitarist could not play, and more examples of the piano playing fast repetitions of single notes.

  • Anyone arguing either side of the guitar v. keyboard debate is entirely foolish.

A keyboardist could not play this.

    /watch?v=1tOfDxUlxK0

Single note repetitions at those speeds are not attainable even by the finest piano's action (regardless the player). The instrument simply doesn't work that quickly.

Similarly, a guitarist couldn't not play this:

    /watch?v=bTYUyDjVCRU

A guitar simply doesn't have the delicacy to play those long sweeping passages.

    Also, see 1:07 of this

  • Curious, is that liquid lead available on the Karma or Triton?

  • @mtg8321 TRITON; TRINITY; KARMA; X50 M50 M3 ;)

  • how can i donwload this for my m5???

    in the market place???

    please respond!!

  • can I use this sound in my korg triton classic?

    this pcg ?

  • sick playing dude!!!!!!!!

  • wish i could get this sound for my keyboard but mine's a casio. however, if there's a way to hack it i'd love to know

  • youre retarded as shit

  • I was totally being sarcastic dude.

  • This lead is so fucking epic.

Jordan Rudess is a simply legend

  • Korg is simply the best

  • Just guessing here, but I'd say that a keyboard player could execute more notes in a shorter span of time simply because all 10 digits can utilized whereas guitarists typically use only the 4 fingers of the fretting hand. Even when tapping is a consideration, most guitarists don't utilize all 10 fingers.

  • A guitrist can use 8 fingers, and also the frets are closer together so it may be more executable for a guitar to play more notes also by just doing an open pull off would hit a note that the keyboard would have ot physically hit

  • very true , no guitarist (except maybe shawn lane(RIP) could ever play as fast as a keyboard/paino player utilising all 10 fingers

  • @Rg1527 neither instrument is better, they're just different. it honestly doesn't matter which can play faster

  • I didnt say either was better did I? cant remember,

its just logical that the keyboard can be played faster than a guitar can

  • this sound is so beautifil ;D u play very good ;D

  • how can I obtain this sound!! ? I have a triton classic!! ... it ´s a sampler o patch?

    can you help me?

  • pitch bend plays big part in sounds methinks

  • go pee on ur cat

  • Synth>Guitar

  • i wouldn't say that. i mean, i'm a keyboard player myself, but i wouldn't say one is better than the other. they're different in my eyes.

  • nice dudeee

  • can you tell, how I can do this sound with my triton classic? or my n364? Do you know this configation? thanx

    max from argentina!!

  • 1:29

    =O

  • who's faster on lead?

    Rudess or Petrucci?

  • Petrucci. Rudess himself said in one of his tutorial videos, the keyboard player can't match the speed of a guitar, but get pretty close with some technique tricks.

  • yes the pick is faster than the weighted keys

  • I'm pretty sure if you use two hands to play an arpeggio you can go faster than the guitar.

  • Keyboards are better and faster than Guitars

  • Ok, let's not go too far, they both have their uses.

  • I think there's something terribly wrong in the head of someone who can seriously state that Instrument A is BETTER than Instrument B.

I play both, and I think you suffer from truss rod envy.

  • @Space4Keys: keyboards are better than guitars?.. that's like saying oxygen is better than water.

  • If that was right, keyboards were into guitars!

    LOL

  • @Frambusjt well oxygen is better. you can't drink water without oxygen, not the other way around. Plus, you can survive for a rather long time without water, but very short without oxygen. KEYBOAHRDISTS REPRUHSENT \m/

  • @Space4Keys faster and better? try playing one note tremelo picking style on a piano...

  • @CarterFilmLtd Easy, you can do on keyboard just as easy. It's called a trill, but you take that technique and use one key. Here, watch this: /watch?v=oWxgUDzjGbQ around 30 seconds

  • @JamesDeffinger yeah no shit. Try doing a "one note trill" this fast on a keyboard: watch?v=1tOfDxUlxK0

  • @Space4Keys So true.

  • who cares what's faster anyway? faster music doesnt mean that it sounds better. if that would be true everyone would be listening to music around 800bpm i guess.

  • Well that's not what we were discussing, we were discussing whether a keyboardist can go faster than a guitarist, theoretically.

  • Well both have 10 fingers and can hit the same amount of notes (two handed tapping) so I believe a keyboard player who's perfected his technique and a guitar player who's perfected his can go about as fast. I guess that if you wanna play bends and good keyboard solos you have to use the other hand on pitch wheel and on guitar you, obviously, have to pick, so it's a pretty even ground.

  • Metabog is absolutely correct; the pick is far superior in speed regarding repeated notes, in constructions such as tremolo picking or those complicated syncopated fast riffs with pauses that are typical of Darkane and other Swedish thrash/Gothenburg bands, while keyboards are essentially faster for all other things that I can think of at the moment. Guitars also have those amazing tricks that as yet have not been duplicated accurately on keyboard, at least to my knowledge.

  • excelente trabajo

    felicitaciones!

  • VERY AWESOME!!!

that part of Kindred Spirits was my favorite lead solo in the whole LTE album., and you nailed it man..GOOD JOB!!!

  • where can I download this?

  • Grande esecuzione e ottimo lead Daniele! :D
