The weight of a vehicle has got nothing to do with it hitting a particular speed in a particular gear.

The speed in each gear is down to the gearbox ratio, final drive ratio, engine rev / power limt and tyre size. XE conversions often use the F20 box and thus should pull 90mph in third with the standard rev limiter as long as you're not using tiny wheels.
