  • Prelude to Voyage on the earth!

  • The forest is one of my favorite tracks ever. Unbelievable music!

  • If I met a 12 foot Proteus man in the center of the earth, I would have asked him for a piggy back ride.

  • I bought this record and loved it - I can't remember how old I was. Same with the Arthur album... Listening to it now, I can't believe how crap it was! Six Wives of Henry the Eighth still resonates, but all the others seem to get progressively worse and bloated. No wonder we had the punk / new wave reaction!

  • As a teenager in the 70s, I had pretty good collection albums, every once in a while I would come home and "catch" my father playing this album of mine. When he wasn't around I would sometimes play some of his jazz albums. I guess we didn't want to admit to each other that we enjoyed some to the same music.

  • Brings back lots of memories for me as well! This is truly a modern masterpiece!

Eres genial.

  • JOURNEY to the centre of the mind...

  • Just incredible

  • Excelent!!

  • Meu primeiro LP, simplesmente maravilhoso!!! Que viagem!!! A parte onde toca Grieg é sensacional!!! De arrepiar, sempre!

  • They used to have this entire LP on line with the movie video incorporated in the backround. It was great. what happened to it?

  • 156 likes vs. only two dislikes.

  • @nicolasdelariva y a quien le importa? xD

  • My wife and I were married to this music in 1981. The justice of the peace had this playing on his office stereo when we walked in. He started to turn it off, and we asked him to let it play! We love Rick Wakeman -- and it must have been magic. 30 years later, and we're still married.

  • IL PRIMO AMORE CON QUESTA CANZONE ILONKA 1975 - THR BEST SOMG

  • the most expensive record I ever bought, with no regrets

  • MALUCO, EM VEZ DE TOCAR A MARCHA NUPCIAL, EU FIZ QUESTÃO DE TOCAR ESTAS MUSICAS, NO MEU CASAMENTO, NA ENTRADA DA NOIVA TOCOU THE JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, ISTO FOI EM 1988, VALEU, VALEU, FOI BOM, MUITO BOM

  • I haven't heard this since I was probably 6 or 7

    years old. My uncle was really into this record;

I listened to it so many times (with headphones

on, of course). Just seeing the record cover brings

back so many memories. Long live the '70s.

  • Brings back memories of living in the barracks on Guam, many years ago .

  • Amazing song, very fond memories!

    Ricardo - Brazil

  • I had the quadraphonic system for this song, Damnit was good.

  • Sonds like ripped from an Irish folksong.

Pretty ok to listen to except for the woman doing voice exersice.

  • Any chance you can add me a link to my website ??

    thanks

  • In a video of this concert it shows Rick Wakeman Playing 5 Keyboards at once!!!

    HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING!!!!!!

  • I just watched a video of this concert!!!

  • My favorite part of the journey :)

  • 'Back in time', it was considered Rick's 'lowest point' but now... Wow...

  • Unforgettable..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • listening to this covers my body in chills, and brings me back to my childhood: laying on the living room floor, listening to the record player....how fantastic! thank-you so much!!!

  • @majmom2000 Ha! me too !

  • LOL! I hear my 8-track "click" over about 30 seconds into this!

  • Memories and weed!

  • journey to the centre of the earth fantastic album rick Wakeman is a musical genius

  • This takes me back to my teens i played this to death in my mk2 cortina happy days thanks for the happy memories for taking me back to those care free days!!!

  • I remember when I was sixteen in my hometown, It was a awakening moment in my life.

  • The frightening Mount Etna!

  • Music of high class!

  • One of my favorites from my mom's record collection!

  • Just close your eyes and watch the movie on the insides of your eyelids. The music provides the images. Love it.

  • Had this album back in the 70's. Great stuff.

  • hmmm.. brilliant!

  • Hey riversend21, thanks for sharing. Can you download please "The Storm" I think it's called. It's when the narrator says ' In silence....they waited for the storm"......then dramatic drum roll and Rick goes into a blistering, face melting Mini-Moog lead very similar to this one.

  • @alcatras4 The section you're thinking of is in the part before "The Forest" called "The Battle". Starts at about 5:30 into what is Side B of the original record. Definitely some face melting mini-moog action!!

  • i didnt know i still knew it by heart, note by note, after so many years. fond memories.

    thank you heaps.

  • @dushka2001

OMG! Me, too! and English isn't even my first language :)

    Love this ~

  • I remember my mother playing this record. Fond memories, indeed.

  • Stoked. I've got the vinyl but havn't played since 70's. Thanks HEAPS!

  • I want to thank you warmly for posting this version, I haven't listened to this song for years. It takes me to my twenties!

  • Man, I just can't get enough of that Mini Moog lead starting at 04:00 !

    It Shreds, Love it!

  • Ashley was much better with 'Warhorse', an early 70s band that featured ex-Deep Purple bassist Nick Simper. His vocals were horrible on this album...not sure what Mr. Wakeman was thinking.

Still...if you can look beyond Ashley's poor vocals, the recording itself was brilliant. Thanks for the post...

  • Isn't the title of this 'The Battle-The Forest'?

  • @MiMangereiQualcosaNG

The Battle was a different song, set on the sea during a fight to the death between an Ichtheosaurus and a Plesiosaurus. Both songs were on the second side of the LP version of Journey. In the long-gone days of vinyl, there were no individual tracks except, of course, side 1 and side 2.

  • I hear Dovregubbens Hall. Good music.

  • Tudo desse monstro sagrado dos teclados é DIVINO.....

  • Takes me back down the path of my youth. Wakeman is consumate musician-Outstanding

  • How I miss that times, that music, that magic!

    What a journey!!!!!!

    Thank you!

    Jailene

  • the greatest!
