Im a Lions fan and I must say in Roy's defense he is better than what you guys have seen. Not sure whats happend to him in the BIG D, but i expect him to play like the old Roy this year. The guy has glue on his hands, can make the insane circus catches at will and gets yards after the catch. He's not a world class burner but he will get YACS. Don't give up on him.
when I first saw Roy play I thought he was pretty good. then when I started following Dallas's games closer, I realized he was kind of letting the team down sometimes. Like on Thanksgiving 2010 when he fumbled when he just had to fall down and the game is over. all i know is roy had 305 YARDS/5 TOUCHDOWNS in the first 5 full games. on pace for between 900-1000 yards/15-17 touchdowns. I commented five months ago and said he'd be between 900-1200 yards with 7-11 touchdowns. ROMO UNFORTUNATELY got hurt in the 6th game because he seemed to be finding rhythm with ROY especiallly in the REDZONE
@MJwizard He's showed so far this year that he's still fast. His 63 yd td he burned the Corner and safety against the Texans and showed his speed. And he made Cortland Finnegan look like a rookie last week.

Roy isn't the problem with the Roy-Romo connection. Just look at the highlights he was able to put up with Kitna, Harrington, and Brad Johnson throwing him the ball. He ran a good route and never gave up on the play and found the void in the Redskind defense and CAUGHT the ball in the endzone which everyone thought was the game winner. I watched every game Roy played for Detroit and he could be an incredible receiver. It's like he just loses focus and now it's in his head. the dropped passes have been an issue but in year 1 & 2 it wasn't as bad as it is now. If he ever gets over it he could be a demon because he is incredibly fast and big.

Basically most of america gets on the cowboys' nuts when they make it to the playoffs. Well my team is the 49ers. Sure they didn't make the playoffs, but they are only getting better and have a great chance to be in the playoffs next season.

Roy can be a huge threat, depending on how you use him. IN MY OPPINION, he's not a slot reciever, and not there deep threat (miles austin is their best deep threat:). He can be great working down and out's and curl's in clutch situaions, even though him and romo werent on the same page til week 18. To me, there to deep threats are austin and ogletree, who has made some pretty hard catches for a 5th reciever. Their slots should alternate depending on the situation with crayton, hurd and Roy.

Roy will be alright. I dont think he can succeed with dallas. maybe he can but i just dont see it. This is a Romo friendly offense, meaning it's designed to fit Romo's strengths. he isnt an elite qb with dead on accuracy like the great qb's of the league. Jon Kitna and Joey harrington had no problem at all getting the ball to him in Detroit. That says alot about garrett and romo. But dallas is winning so it's ok.....for now. I would like to see roy with an elite qb and a good OC. Garrett sucks
Roy is a fine wideout. He's had a few dropped balls, but what WR doesnt? I think once he gets more in sync with the offense andmore importantly, develops a rapore with Romo, he will put up big numbers.
He's a good threat in the red zone and he will get better production and start putting up bignumbers once he and Romo get a better anticipation with what the other is doing on hot reads and things like that.

Well, looks like my soon prediction was only good for one game. At this point Roy should get no more than 2 passes thrown at him until he can be more consistent.
As much as I like the Cowboys Roy is such an underacheiver. The best thing to happen to the Cowboys was when Roy got hurt against the Broncos and Miles Austin stepped in. Romo and Garrett have no faith in him and that's why they don't throw to him. If you can't bench a player then the next best to do is not throw to him. He's got the message and knows that he even said it himself. I hope he can prove me and everyone wrong and step up in the playoffs but I don't think that can happen.

you're right he had only one 1,000yd season. But what you dont mention is that the other years he missed 3 or games. He was well on pace each of those years to easily eclipse the 1,000yd mark if he would've stayed healthy. One year he only played 12 games and had almost 900 yds receiving. That's awesome. He's in a perfect storm now tho. His confidence is lacking, he became lazy, Miles Austin exploded, and the Boys have never given him a chance. It's best to trade him to a team that will use him
No its him. He leads the league with 10 drops and every single analyst can point out his poor route running. Without Miles Austin stepping up, the Cowboys do not make the playoffs. He's afraid to take a hit since that rib injury in Denver and since Wade won't bench him the Garrett and Romo just won't throw to him and design plays for him. He knows he's sucking bad. Wow so they won against a struggling saints team who may end being a one-and-done in the playoffs, the redskins (who are absolute bums) and the eagles. Now the eagles are definitely a great team, but they played HORRIBLE against the cowboys on sunday. I'm not taking anything away from the cowboys I'm just saying the eagles have had much better games. Come playoffs is a different story and the eagles are a good playoff team. Don't even bring up the saints. Even myself had a feeling the cowboys were going to win, and I was one of the niner fans hoping they'd lose. Yeah, the Cowboys are playing some good football right now, I'll give u that. But calling them the best, or the hottest team in the NFL may be overrating them. After looking at wildcard weekend I see the cardinals being just as hot as them in the NFC. Scoring 45 points offensively against the 5th ranked pass d in the NFL is amazing.
Not to mention that the cardinals did that without Anquan Boldin. Now, I'd say the cardinals will beat the saints (they're on a 3 game losing streak). The vikings aren't pushovers either, but if the cowboys defense plays like they did against the eagles they'll win.
As for the overall hottest team in the NFL u have to give that to the Chargers and the colts. THe chargers are on an 11 game win streak if I'm not mistaken, and the colts would've gone undefeated if they played their starters.
I'll bring up the Saints, because they were undefeated and heave favorites. They are on a 3 game skid, but thats because the last 2 games were without starters. The game they played hard for and wanted desperately to win, was against Dallas and Dallas one, pretty handily considering.
Same with the Eagles, Philly had a lot to play for in both games. NFC East and a 1st round bye in the first game, and a playoff game in the 2nd game. So there's no reason to diminish what D is doing.

The sainst only clinched the #1 seed because the vikings lost to the bears. The Vikings would of had the tiebreaker over them. So in that area u are completely wrong. when I first saw Roy play I thought he was pretty good. then when I started following Dallas's games closer, I realized he was kind of letting the team down sometimes. Like on Thanksgiving 2010 when he fumbled when he just had to fall down and the game is over. Or he drops a ball and lets it fall into the hands of a Cardinal defender on a perfect throw by Kitna, and guess what? Turns into a pick-6

all i know is roy had 305 YARDS/5 TOUCHDOWNS in the first 5 full games. on pace for between 900-1000 yards/15-17 touchdowns. I commented five months ago and said he'd be between 900-1200 yards with 7-11 touchdowns. ROMO UNFORTUNATELY got hurt in the 6th game because he seemed to be finding rhythm with ROY especiallly in the REDZONE

Roy isn't the problem with the Roy-Romo connection. Just look at the highlights he was able to put up with Kitna, Harrington, and Brad Johnson throwing him the ball. The difference is that those QB's got the ball to his hands or in the vicinity. It amazes me that fans give him grief because Romo can't get the ball in his area code... Stupid is as Stupid does...

He ran a good route and never gave up on the play and found the void in the Redskind defense and CAUGHT the ball in the endzone which everyone thought was the game winner. Stupid ass penalties are what killed them once again. Drop flozell because he was the 2nd most most penalized player in the nfl the past 5 years to pick up another lineman who was the FIRST most penalized wtf. Anyways Jason Garret needs to go.

I watched every game Roy played for Detroit and he could be an incredible receiver. It's like he just loses focus and now it's in his head. the dropped passes have been an issue but in year 1 & 2 it wasn't as bad as it is now. If he ever gets over it he could be a demon because he is incredibly fast and big.

As a Lions fan I must admit I love Roy Williams absolutely loved him. Wish he would have stayed in Detroit because now besides Calvin Johnson we have nobody else. Johnson and Williams were a good 1 2 punch. Who said 2 #1 Receivers couldn't co-exist? Look at Arizona! Lions we could have had Stafford to Johnson and Williams! Then again we wouldn't have had Pettigrew who is the black Jason Witten! Anyways Williams played good Saturday good for him!

Roy can be a huge threat, depending on how you use him. IN MY OPPINION, he's not a slot reciever, and not there deep threat (miles austin is their best deep threat:). He can be great working down and out's and curl's in clutch situaions, even though him and romo werent on the same page til week 18. To me, there to deep threats are austin and ogletree, who has made some pretty hard catches for a 5th reciever. Their slots should alternate depending on the situation with crayton, hurd and Roy.

Roy will be alright. I dont think he can succeed with dallas. maybe he can but i just dont see it. This is a Romo friendly offense, meaning it's designed to fit Romo's strengths. he isnt an elite qb with dead on accuracy like the great qb's of the league. Jon Kitna and Joey harrington had no problem at all getting the ball to him in Detroit. That says alot about garrett and romo. But dallas is winning so it's ok.....for now. I would like to see roy with an elite qb and a good OC. Garrett sucks

Roy is a fine wideout. He's had a few dropped balls, but what WR doesnt? I think once he gets more in sync with the offense andmore importantly, develops a rapore with Romo, he will put up big numbers.
He's a good threat in the red zone and he will get better production and start putting up bignumbers once he and Romo get a better anticipation with what the other is doing on hot reads and things like that.

I still think they need to use him alot more in the redzone. I expect him to put up nice numbers against the vikings too. As much as I like the Cowboys Roy is such an underacheiver. The best thing to happen to the Cowboys was when Roy got hurt against the Broncos and Miles Austin stepped in. Romo and Garrett have no faith in him and that's why they don't throw to him. If you can't bench a player then the next best to do is not throw to him. He's got the message and knows that he even said it himself. I hope he can prove me and everyone wrong and step up in the playoffs but I don't think that can happen.

Roy "drive killer" williams' stats in detroit..he had one year with 1300 yards all of his other years are below 850. He sux. He is not even a good second or third receiver. He has 600 yards this year on a great offense. With Detroit he did not do much even thought Detroit sucked and were always behind. He should have even more meaningless yards. you're right he had only one 1,000yd season. But what you dont mention is that the other years he missed 3 or games. He was well on pace each of those years to easily eclipse the 1,000yd mark if he would've stayed healthy. One year he only played 12 games and had almost 900 yds receiving. That's awesome. He's in a perfect storm now tho. His confidence is lacking, he became lazy, Miles Austin exploded, and the Boys have never given him a chance. It's best to trade him to a team that will use him

No its him. He leads the league with 10 drops and every single analyst can point out his poor route running. Without Miles Austin stepping up, the Cowboys do not make the playoffs. He's afraid to take a hit since that rib injury in Denver and since Wade won't bench him the Garrett and Romo just won't throw to him and design plays for him. He knows he's sucking bad. There is no excuse for him and we complain because he's getting that money and not performing like a top reciever.

Wow so they won against a struggling saints team who may end being a one-and-done in the playoffs, the redskins (who are absolute bums) and the eagles. Now the eagles are definitely a great team, but they played HORRIBLE against the cowboys on sunday. I'm not taking anything away from the cowboys I'm just saying the eagles have had much better games. Come playoffs is a different story and the eagles are a good playoff team. The cowboys may win but it won't be a 24-0 victory I'll tell u that.

1) Saints were UNDEFEATED and no one gave D a chance!
2) The Eagles were poised for a 1st round Bye and all we heard was how the Eagles drubbed Dallas last year and how Philly was one of the best teams in the NFC.
3) The Eagles had TWO weeks to not play "horrible" against Dallas. Me thinks they didnt have a choice. Dallas just FORCED them to play poorly.
Face it: Dallas is the hottest, if not best in NFL.

Don't even bring up the saints. Even myself had a feeling the cowboys were going to win, and I was one of the niner fans hoping they'd lose. Yeah, the Cowboys are playing some good football right now, I'll give u that. But calling them the best, or the hottest team in the NFL may be overrating them. After looking at wildcard weekend I see the cardinals being just as hot as them in the NFC. Scoring 45 points offensively against the 5th ranked pass d in the NFL is amazing.

Not to mention that the cardinals did that without Anquan Boldin. Now, I'd say the cardinals will beat the saints (they're on a 3 game losing streak). The vikings aren't pushovers either, but if the cowboys defense plays like they did against the eagles they'll win.
As for the overall hottest team in the NFL u have to give that to the Chargers and the colts. THe chargers are on an 11 game win streak if I'm not mistaken, and the colts would've gone undefeated if they played their starters.

I'll bring up the Saints, because they were undefeated and heave favorites. They are on a 3 game skid, but thats because the last 2 games were without starters. The game they played hard for and wanted desperately to win, was against Dallas and Dallas one, pretty handily considering.
Same with the Eagles, Philly had a lot to play for in both games. NFC East and a 1st round bye in the first game, and a playoff game in the 2nd game. So there's no reason to diminish what D is doing.

The sainst only clinched the #1 seed because the vikings lost to the bears. The Vikings would of had the tiebreaker over them. So in that area u are completely wrong. The saints had homefield advantage to play for and lost against arguable the worst team in the NFL.

LMAO NO! It took Miles Austin 4-5 years to finally make plays. Roy has been the #1 Receiver to every team he's been on since probably even popwarner. He just needs some time. U know...since Miles Austin has that 4-5 yr head start with Romo over him. Aside from Romo look at the QB's Roy has had to work with. All with the shittiest Lions team who was terrible then and still are even with other decent revievers they brought in.

Thanks for the draft picks Dallas!!! Way too much for Roy, I don't know what happened, he was excellent in Detroit. Maybe his poor work ethic is starting to catch up with him, not lifting weights all those years until he got traded. But i do think he'll rebound though, he still has the talent. As for the lions we hope to have you guys' problems someday and not the perpetual losing!!!

i seriously think Roy can own the Panthers on Monday coz their defense sucks ass, and have u seen him block for felix, marion, and tashard, he blocked so well against the Gay Giants D which is unfortunately better than most teams, but against weak ass defenses like carolina, denver, kansas city, etc.. our runningbacks can get like 300 yards per game with roy blocking.

no way. desean jackson is beter. atleast he can get open on man to man coverage. when last year when it ws roy and t.o. roy could not get open. and hes having a problem with that again this year. hes not a true #1. Hes not as explosive as t.o doesn't make as big of plays as t.o. he cud be a solid number 2 at best. but number 1? come on. aside from tht game vs the Bucs (who's d sucks) he has been shitty. yea dallas has great runnin game. bu they pass game aint there. and they keep losin cz of it
