新华社拉萨10月12日电 西藏自治区有关负责人向记者透露，9月30日凌晨，中国边防巡逻小组官兵在中国和尼泊尔边界中方一侧巡逻时，发现近70人欲非法 偷渡到境外，依法对其劝阻，希望他们尽快返回原籍。
但他们不仅不听劝阻，反而群袭边防官兵。在此情况下，边防官兵被迫自卫，伤及2名偷渡人员，其中1人因事发地海拔6200米，高 寒缺氧，自然环境极其恶劣，经抢救无效死亡 。另一伤者已得到妥善救治。
