@littledudes321 Actually Monster Rancher is bounds more difficult. They are capable of cheating, getting spoilt, a time limit in battle, "Guts" needing to be waited for instead of readily available PP, monsters becoming old/injured/stranded, we don't have to explore the continent though, etc etc. Mind you I'm a fan of both games. By the way I hate it when people say anything remotely raising a monster is a "Pokemon ripoff". Real mature. :T

Here's an interesting thing to note: This game is actually a port of the original sequel to the first Monster Rancher which was only released in Japan... with updates made specifically for the DS, of course. Just thought this was an interesting thing to point out.

Yeah...^^; The only thing I can suggest, which is a longshot, is to find the acual and play it on PS2 or something. There is one monster I know you probably wouldn't need a disk to get, but with the saving thing it would probably be a problem trying to keep it. That would be phoenix. It looks good! But since I have no idea when it will be comming out or if it is comming out in the US, I suggest trying to find an oldschool copy of Monster Rancher 2, to see if you like the series or not. It's a great game. More matured than Pokemon I always thought

So far, no. Hopefully it will be released in the US. If you liked Monster Rancher Advance, I urge you to play Monster Rancher Advance 2. From what I know (haven't played the first) they look similar, and MRA2 was really fun. The best game in the series, in my opinion, is Monster Rancher 2 for the PS1, but that's difficult to get anymore. 4 is good too, 3 was okay, and so far I'm not pleased with EVO. The first MR was good, but it's even harder to get now, I'm sure.

I thought 3 felt very... well, un-Monster-Rancher-y. If they had blended the new things introduced with some of the characteristics of 2, it would've been better, but they sort of just forgot about it all. Same thing with EVO, but at least what they went with in 3 was entertaining, whereas in EVO it really wasn't. I wasn't confused by 4; I love all the different types of monsters and was glad they put combination back in. That, in my opinion, was 3's biggest weakness.

That would be great, although then I couldn't get it, as I don't have one. I kind of doubt it, however, as Monster Rancher has always stuck to the Playstation console (albeit Nintendo handhelds).
