  • I got this flush kit for $3 at walmart. Works great.

  • LOL bad info, first your not getting accurate 5050 mix no way there is water in block and lines. MY vehicle does not have rad cap. So if I am filling recovery tank just how will I get proper mix. Suck out all old would work then put water in for flush.

  • This is kind funny because you have water left in block and hopeful no cleaner is left. On my diesel jeep there is no radiator cap. And for sure never use any universal coolants! On modern Chryslers they spec HOAT coolant only 2 types I know of MOPAR or Zerex g-05. Do not let Autozone tell you peak universal will work! Also Clean out your heater core first before doing any flushing! Found brown balls in mine, hook to washing machines hot water hose to garden hose works great to hose-5/8s.

  • @superhawkn Thats Y you repeat flushing the system. So pure water will come out.. Then you add 100% antifreeze until it comes out the tee... Watch again..

  • where can I get one of those flush kits with the hose fittings etc..nothing on e-bay like it?

  • @MrChubbleyWarner

wally world sells them$8.00 or so.. just bought 1

  • @gotsnow1970 - thanks..but, I got one on Amazon in the end..we don't have Wal Mart in England..shame really.

  • Where exactly coolant go in the engine?

Does it run all around moving parts or just around where the fuel is burnt?

  • @dawood1351 radiator, water pump, hoses, heater core, and water jackets in the block... theres lines in the block itself but water never comes in contact with any moving parts besides the water pump. Thats why you shouldnt put stop leak stuff in a radiator, because a lot of the fluid lines are so deep in youd have to pull the head off!

  • @dawood1351 the coolant goes through the water pump which "propels or moves" i guess you could say the coolant through the engine and some other parts and is cerculated back through to the radiator to be cooled off

  • the top comments seem to be related to one another ....but the dates make that impossible lol.

  • i got ur floating balls right here

  • its smart to replace the hose you cut for the flushing t, because the t breaks easily, happened on my truck, it pissed me off

  • can't you just stick the water hose is the top of the radiator to flush the system

  • No thermostat? Lol.

  • @straightsix76 No it will nope just change the thermostat it's real easy to do buy a new one and gasket removing the thermostat housing replace and ur good to go. Real simple to do!

  • can anyone tell me if treating my engine with a decent flush would free up a sticking thermostat. I do not want to replace the thermostat if I can help it, its a real PITA to get to

  • awesome intro to chapter 4 at 2:35

  • antifreeze tastes great with angel hair pasta!

  • Where does the coolant go?

Looks like you let it go anywhere.

    Animals LOVE antifreeze. It's sweet.

    It will KILL them!

  • @exposefraud antifreeze isn't sweet anymore, trust me it's horrible tasting, and has after taste for 1/2 a hour....

  • @exposefraud Animals continue to arrive at veterinarians offices having ingested antifreeze so even if it doesn't taste sweet anymore, and perhaps not all brands have changed over, it is still lethal to many pets.

  • @exposefraud very true, hell my dog was stupid enough to chew on an oil bottle i left on the ground.... (and a empty glass cptn mo. bottle, luckily she only wanted the plastic cap off of it).... i never leave my dogs unattended near antifreeze, and i always hose the garage out after i spill some.

  • @miniimoto95 As a veterinary technician, I'm one of the staff who join owners in the waiting game to see if treatment will save unfortunate pets who took a liking to antifreeze. I appreciate anyone who takes care to clean up all spills. Thank you.

  • I've got a problem with my car overheating. I had a coolant flush. The problem persisted. Then, I had a pressure check, which indicated a small leak near the the water pump, the water pump was replaced. I'm not sure what else to have checked. I am losing coolant. It happened last summer too, but it corrected itself when it began to get cold. Some people suggested getting my thermostat replaced, but would that also cause loss of coolant?

  • @cyphi1 I would change out the thermostat and have a look around to try and find a leak. More leaking in hot weather suggests it could be leaking from the hose distal to the thermostat, only open when fluid passes by there when the engine is hot.

  • @cyphi1 : check the radiator and the radiator cap and hoses !! they may need replacement, about the thermostat, i would recommend you to take it off, but im afraid you will suffer from over-cooling engine, you maybe just need to get a new thermostat that is a suitable to where you live temperature .

  • @cyphi1 there are many reasons that coolant is lost , it could leak into combustion champer and burn away during power strokes, that means you need a head gasket , or it could be external leak , bring a pressure tester and place it on filler neck while engine is off , aplly pressure using the tester and see if it goes less than the cap rating , also during applying pressure visually look for leaks , mostly around hoses connections and raditor core !

  • @yazied00100 it only happens in hot weather...90+ degree temps. I like the pressure cap test idea. I'll check that out. Thanks yazied00100

  • @cyphi1 if you get the pressure tester also try to remove one of the spark plugs , if it looks extermly clean or wet that means you are getting coolant in combustion champer , also try coolant tester ( $ 2.99 at autzone ) and see if its contaminated . if it contaminated , coolant would boil faster and turn into vapor,

    and you are wellcome

  • "Rusty brown" lol. Or in the case of a DEXCool engine, do do brown.

  • Just did this on my mom's van. One thing to realize is that after you flush entire system, water will remain in the block. Even if you drain the radiator completely. Some blocks have plugs to drain the water. I just added 100% antifreeze to the radiator and reservoir. After driving for a while, I checked the coolant with a tester and found that the strength was perfect. The reason why is because all that leftover water in the block combined with the 100% antifreeze in the radiator.

  • I never use tap water in my cooling system. chlorine can eventually damage or corrode the cooling system over the years. Allways use bottled, spring, or well water depending on where you live. In some cities or towns the water may be a little softer which makes it safer to use over time.

  • ....or distilled water lol

  • Here in Europe a lot of modern cars don't have a separate radiator cap anymore.

You just have to use the resevoir to add coolant or flush the system.

  • @wks1978 Dodge have done it long time ago comrade ! :-)

  • Great Video! Thanks for posting this.

  • Change that Radiator Cap and Thermostat ONCE a year no matter what (CHEAP) easy to protect cooling system and your VEHICLE.

  • this video is for old cars my truck dont even have a radiator cap.

  • all cars have a radiator cap unless you have an air cooled engine. some cars have the cap on the coolant reservoir, not on the actual radiator

  • @GAROmx You mean they actually give people like you a driving license?

  • i mean it does not have a cap in the actual radiator. but in the reservoir

  • Please take into account that antifreeze is sweet tasting to animals. DO NOT flush at home if you have animals, kids, a well. antifreeze is extremely poisonous

  • does anyone one knows where is the pipe that i am supposed to install the water hose connector onto. i cant find it, my car is a mitsubishi eclipse 96 rs....please can someone help me....i dont have a manual or nothing....

  • is your car a 420a or 4g63

  • thank u, thank u!

  • Thank you for this step by step video! It will be very helpful especially for someone who had no idea before!! THANK YOU!!!!!
